Hello, will you ever make a "start to end" mep project? It would be better if it is for a big building. In that case I would certainly pay that patron. Thanks for the videos! They help a lot!
Hello @balkanarchitect, I want to make a custom curtain wall pattern based pattern, but revit doesn't let one add or create a pattern to use as a template because those patterns are a System Family. How can I add/ create a custom pattern to use for the pattern in pattern based families?
Great video! Thank you. Is it correct to say that we can add parameter only to Component families (through family editor) and cannot add to the System families (do not consider project/shared/global parameters)?
Hi its Musa from South Africa, just want to find out from tyou how to edit "M_View Title" maybe to change the text height and or removing the circle around text. was trying this forever.
I’m currently struggling with making a custom shaped curtain wall that has custom panels. it’s seems only system curtain panels can adopt wall shapes non rectangular as custom panel families can’t. Any advice on how to edit a system family curtain panel. Or a simple method for adaptive curtain panels. Many thanks
Yes, system panels are way more flexible in therms of shape, but like other system familys, you can only edit so much. For the system panels that is only the thickness, offset and material. If you want any more complex panels, you need to make normal curtain panel familys. But note that the curtain panels are not just limited to the ''curtain panel'' category in revit, walls, doors and windows can also be used as a curtain panel. For the door and window panels you used the specific family templates for them. If your curtain panel is to complex for a system panel, your pretty much stuck with the normal curtain panels, or a mix of them. Thats the disadvantage of curtain walls. You can create very complex curtain walls with dynamo, but im not that far with dynamo yet so i can not tell you much about that. Most of the times i tend to stick with as much system panels as possible, since they improve performance a lot when working with curtain walls. If your curtain wall needs to be really complex, you might want to use a family instead of a curtain wall. If you want to ask questions and show some pictures with it, come over to revitforum.org and post it there.
Balkan Architect never fails to teach me something new.
A clear explanation, please make more of this type of videos! keep up the good work!
Thank you. I am starting
Thanks Big brother
