I met the man who owned the Malibu and 53 Chevy in Charlotte Charlotte Nc. this summer. He and his friends were dope. They joked. We laughed and took pictures. Big UPS to DRAG WEEK RACERS! And all sleeper race car drivers. The backbone of street style racing.
Number 2 reminded me of a guy I met back in the late 90's when I went to school at UNOH, Northwester College back then in Lima Ohio that was working on a Gm 3800 supercharged swap into a Pontiac Fiero. The 3800 was out of a Buick park avenue and was being mated up to a five speed out of a Beretta, can't remeber the guys name or if the project ever got completed.
I have a 1993 and 1994 burb with some hidding, potentials just added a few specs on a tight budget soon when my finances grow the build will be off the charts
Actually wide tires dont always give you the best grip. Try driving a car with 50 wides in the snow in winter. The weight is spead out more. Think of it like a water bed layed flat its fine. Lay it on its side and all that pressure in one spot will go through the floor of your house. The car itself weighs enough it dont need wide tires.
ONEFODDERUNIT, VARIABLES such as weight and weight ratios to front and rear where the engine sits all kinds of little things come together to get done what we see it's so open the possibilitys seem endless and far as my lifetime is concerned they are, it's fascinating seeing the different builds people come up with and works like they do, so 😎 cool I love this sh_t!
As old as the buick video is, its still the best sleeper. That car wouldve made a lot of money on the street "back in the day." I only say that because most street racing has gone to the track these past few years and thats not necessarily a bad thing.
@@WisdomOverWicked777Rules I've just come across a new video with what appears to be that same caddy. Do a youtube search bar for BIG BLOCK NITROUS CADILLAC DEVILLE WAS LAYING DOWN LOW 5 SEC PASEES AT LIGHTS OUT 11
@vin a Nope. Considering that if their insurance companies saw enough tickets and infractions from the courthouse? They wouldn't have their place driving out there period. Lol
The giant Cadillac only gets honorable mention!!?? Layer down an 8 second pass!! Beast mode
Canary yellow. It was a quick car. But uh? An interesting? Choice? Lol
@@earlputnal9124 Great Sleeper for Big money
I would have considered the RAM wagon an honorable mention. The Caddy?? Deserves a spot in this countdown.

That honorable mention isn't a boat- it's a yacht

Oh so nice love the old blue car .
Caddy was nice but that '53 was awesum
Yes. I agree. It's nice seeing a classic doing that kind of running.
I think the Caddy "Honorable mention" had the best driver...it HOOKED up and took off! Great reaction time.
Great video, love sleeper cars and trucks!
You can't call it a SLEEPER with a PARACHUTE on the back.
Buick at the end was bad ass !! Definitely wouldn't expect that!
It was nice to be able to see the board for every car👍👍
I LOVE IT!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
Love me some sleeper cars. I want to make one for my next project. Not sure what I want to use vehicle wise. Lol

How does that heavy 53 Bel Air go 156 in a quarter mile on those skinny tires? Magic?
No. They'll hold pretty good. As long as they're sticking good.

How is a car with drag tires and a parachute a "sleeper?" This video was disappointing
God bless modern injectors, fuel systems, and Turbo technology.
Me and my wife are building a 75 olds cutlass supreme 2door grandma sleeper. Original 350 0lds 40 over baby moons with baby blue original color

Buick! 'SLEEPER' LOOK to IT for sure!!
Don't you lose your sleeper status when you have a chute on the back of the car?
Hell yeah!
Needs more roll-cage. Seriously, I need a roll-cage in a 10 second car.

Holy Crap that yellow Cadillac was amazing. I'd like to know more about the engine in it.
