Frank Van Den Broek (23 yrs) was a real boss today, his debut-day in the TdF, his first GT day and he is in the break trying to grab some mountain jersey points and end's up waiting on his team mate/patron Bardet to help him win the stage and then end's up riding Bardet to the finish. He makes sure his French (do not underestimate such a thing in the Tour de FRANCE, lol) leader gets the yellow , the stage and he grabs the green and white jersey plus the best combative prize. For people who have not heard of FVDB check stage 6 of this year's Tour of Turkey :) Vive le Tour 😀
I’ll say this for many of us, you three make the Tour so much better…not that its not awesome already, but you guys are the mustard to my ketchup! Glad for all of us to be BACK!

I’ve loved The Move since the very beginning but you’ve got to find a way to plug sponsors without using up half of the airtime reading these fake skits
To all those who complain about the ads. As someone below correctly noted, no ads, no free show. If you don't like that deal, you can use the forward cursor key on your keyboard to skip a few seconds at a time until the sponsor logo comes down, when they resume talking about the race.
100 percent, these guys have decades of high level experience and insights that only come with racing for years; NBC has tons of adds too....I'll take Lance unfiltered over the cable coverage any day all day.
Lance is not mentioned at all on a famous panel on the finish line in Alpe´d Huez. He is not even part of TdF history from the perspective of organisations and institutions. Could not be worse.
I agree with Lance. A couple of liters of normal saline or lactated ringers is not a performance enhancing substance. In many cases it can be life saving. Heat injury is no joke. People can die from it. It sounds like Mark Cavendish wasn’t far from that outcome. If you’re throwing up, you’re in trouble! I’m sure processes can be put in place to keep riders from cheating and still be administered IV fluids.
You are not prevented from using IV hydration, but it requires a TUE because under WADA code all IV is banned in and out of competition >100ml in 12 hours. In cycling there is a needles ban too so IV
Lance love you but also hate you for starting my expensive addiction to cycling when I was 12 years old.. Great stage, and what a way to start!! Best time of the year 👌
Agreed with LA rider health and safety should be a priority People have died around the Mediterranean this summer just going for a walk due to heat and dehydration
@@p4olo537 If you were going to allow IVs, they would have to be administered and controlled by one of the anti-doping agencies. Otherwise, someone would definitely use them as an opportunity to dope. There's nothing to stop you from doing a blood bag along with your IV.
Been listening to you guys since The Move started. Big fan of the show. Thank you for all the fantastic content you provide. If I may offer some feedback… The show today felt like a sponsor reel. It was difficult to listen to because of the sheer number of minutes that ads were played. I find myself fast forwarding so much of the content

Cav was asked after, if he was in trouble...he responded "we know what we are doing." But...he was the only sprinter dropped like a bag of rocks half way up the first climb of 7, pedaling squares and vomiting off the bike, with 4 teammates hustling back to shepherd him along. Didn't look like they "knew what they were doing", looked like Cav barely dodged a massive bullet of being DNF by the clock. That being said, so glad he made it. More Cav drama to come, hopefully with a win.
He admitted he was feeling horrible. He was point was on the pacing once he had begun to get ill, they knew they were getting within the time limit so didnt push to get back to the peloton.
UAE Team tryed to test Jonas Vinggaard and the others big contenders, but when they understand that keeping that pace will result on Juan Ayuso's lost of time ,and this guy is one of those who they could use later ,because the big teams couldn't afford to let go a rider with the quality of Juan Ayuso !!

People have died around the Mediterranean this summer just going for a walk due to heat and dehydration
The problem is IV has been widely used for doping and that's why it's not allowed.
Those people are not acclimated to the heat. Anybody racing the tour is probably acclimated coming into the race. If they aren't, they should be.
@rlm4471 no one can acclimate to that level of heat and humidity while putting out maximum aerobic effort. That's just not within the body's ability.
@@carbonking53 Yeah, that's why you're supposed to show up for the race already heat acclimated.
