Lovely fabrics and really impressed with the self drafted dungarees- I made my daughter the Merchant and Mills Harlene dungarees for Christmas - it was quite an involved pattern but came together well into a classic garment. I look forward to following the progress with your makes.
Thank you so much! It was definately a challenge! It looks like a lovely pattern - what kind of fabric did you use to make it? She must have loved it! Such a trendy piece but yet a wardrobe classic!
I really like pound fabrics, their prices might be really low but I've never found that the quality isn't. Plus, they can cut in a straight line which is always a bonus and something that Minerva needs to work on, I've just returned a couple of fabrics from them that are basically cut on the bias and have had a fair few like it! I think it's probably because they have so many orders that they don't have time to do things properly, or they just don't care, or, maybe it's because I haven't ordered anything more pricy? Also, don't confuse pound fabrics with pound a metre, I haven't bought from them since they messed up my order and decided to be difficult about putting it right. Anyway, enough negativity lol, I've subbed to see what you do with your goodies!
Oh I'm sorry to hear! I've actually never bought from Minerva but that's sad to hear. I'm quite impressed by Poundfabrics quality as I am generally in agreement with 'you get what you pay for', but I've never had an issue with their quality of fabrics. Also because I am being quite adventurous and challenging my sewing skills, I would be heart broken if I made a mistake on a gorgeous and expensive fabric! Are there any online fabric places you particularly recommend? P.s. thanks for subbing! I hope you enjoy...if you have any particular video ideas that you would like to see, let me know!
The blue needlecord with stars on is too gorgeous in my opinion to just make a pouch! If you can get a skirt out of it, go for it! The other blue fabric is to die for as well... Didn't you do well! 😍
Your haul is lovely. I have never known ponte to be slinky or slippery so I wonder if they mislabeled it and it is actually an ITY. As you said, you will find a use for it.
The furry black n white fabric is probably a peach skin. Great haul and a subscriber here 👌
Is that what it's called!? Makes sense! Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed!
Ponte roma looks great as a Blackwood cardigan
❤️not seen that pattern before but looks like a perfect match! Thanks!

Oh that is such a good shout! An A-line skirt would look really cute in the needlecord! (And there may still be enough for a pouch!)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed! Yes, I thought this too- very strange. It does give a nice drape though!
Astrological
That was definitely one of my favourites too! 💕
