Cheers Soul Assassin, any praise from you is high praise! I still need to give the comic a read. The cool thing is that all aspects of the story tie into each other. Appreciate the feedback my friend.
I just wanted to say thank you, Skran, for being a voice in the SW YT community!! You don't know just how cool it is for me to converse with someone who's a Scot in Scotland!!! While I have Highland Scots blood in my veins from all of my ancestors from centuries ago, it's such a great opportunity to talk with an actual, modern day, died in the wool, Scot in Scotland!!! I've long dreamt of visiting my ancestors' homeland, and I've done a lot of genealogical and historical research concerning my direct bloodline and Scotland, and it has at least a dozen Highland and Lowland Clans!!! I'm big into historical reenactments/living history/experimental archeology, and I frequently wear woolen tartan Great Kilts and Little Kilts and make/wear a lot of leather goods and items, and go hiking barefoot!! I really love wearing traditional Highland garb!! I even wear a grey wool bonnet with a hawk feather in it!! I long to play in the Highland games as well!! I love all the old Scottish castles, too! I like watching Fandabi Dozi and another Scottish UA-cam channel who's remodeling an old croft house on an island of the Hebrides!! Really neat stuff!!! I also like watching old Scottish sitcoms like Chewing the Fat, and Rab C. Nesbit!! For my birthday earlier this year, I got an imported six pack of Irn Bru soda and an imported bottle of Glenfiddich Highland Scotch that I drank out of a big seashell!! I also have some haggis! I occasionally try to learn some Scots Gaelic; the 1995 Rob Roy with Liam Neeson is one of my all time favorite films!
Wow thanks Gordon! That’s insanely flattering! I’m not surprised considering your last name is MacDonald haha 🔥 It sounds like you are more Scottish than I am 😂 Another great Scottish show is “ Still Game “ it’s hilarious and pretty accurate. I always bring Irn Bru and Whiskey with me to give my in-laws in America, can’t beat some haggis! If you ever get a change to visit let me know, that way you’ll have a friend here 👍
Is that a Tennessee football glass you're drinking beer out of!! Haha!! Never thought I'd see a Scot across the pond drinking from a glass that had a nearby American college football logo on it!! Haha!! Cheers!!
Hey Skran, have you seen the footage Star Wars Animations UA-cam channel has made for Shadows of the Empire? He's been trying to adapt the novel into an animated movie, and so far, it's pretty good!! I don't think he's finished with it, though. He appears to be a big old school EU fan like us!! He's worth checking out!!
Funny story, when I was little, back in elementary or middle school, my friends and I would always trade SW action figures with one another; one day, I traded with one of my friends an '03 fully clone armoured lancer General Kenobi for a Prince Xixor, because I had two Kenobis. At that time, I had absolutely no idea whatsoever who Prince Xixor was, I just thought he was a rather cool looking SW alien I'd never seen before, so that's why I traded for him. Years later, when I really got into the EU, and I found out who that was, it was like a eureka moment, and I was like: "So that's who that was!?!?!? After all these years!!!!" Hahahahaha!!!
I grew up with a bunch of old Star Wars action figures, I thought they were original ones but turned out to be from the power of the force series, so they are as old as I am haha
Enjoyable vid! I read this novel so many times after it came out while playing the game on N64. But I never beat the game, so i only learned about the alternate ending like a year ago. lol. I thought the Princess Leia scenes in the book added a lot of drama and tension to the book - because of Xizor's mind control power, she has to fight to resist by relying on her love for Han, even though she isn't really sure how much he cares about her at that point. Also, how else would she and Chewie get close enough to Xizor to complete their mission unless they had something he wanted? It seems readers nowadays are more squeamish maybe, it was may more common for books back then to have some eroticism and it wasn't considered weird, but seriously, the strength of Princess Leia's character overcame Xizor's creepiness - what could be more girlboss than that?
@@shenmue249 I’m happy you liked the vid, thank you for your lengthy comment I appreciate you taking the time! Unfortunately I never played the game we only had rogue squadron on N64 growing up. I get what you mean, I like your ability to see past the creepiness of Xizor to see what it adds to the story and characters. I think fans were reluctant for leia to be with any one apart from Han. I love the book despite that, thanks for the new perspective!
