For nasty deposits on wheels like that, here in the US we have a masonry cleaner called Prosoco Surekleen 600, it will corrode raw metal so valve stems need to be masked but it will 100% remove those deposits, been using it for years with great results
Hi Paul, our Acid Wheel cleaner is designed to be used as it is - neat. You can dilute if you want, for cars where the dirt is not too bad - but on a car with heavy brake dust (as one would reasonably expect from a track car) I would go in with it neat. Provided reasonable steps are taken and the instructions followed, you will not have any issues. You will find that the agitation required drops off dramatically too. Mark.
Cheers for that I’ll remember that on the next one
I hope you and your family are all ok now i had the samething before crimbo just got rid of it i was a journey
Ava are available at slims detailing at the moment I believe 😉
Great content
Thanks 🙏🏻 guys
Wow, that was full of iron
I find using fallout remover before a clean is simply a waste of product.
The thioglicolic acid needs direct contact with the iron particles to initiate the chemical reaction properly after all.
Excess dirt just hinders that.
I usually wash, apply fallout, gently rub it in with a different wash mitt, let it work its magic and then go from there!
Brilliant video Paul , personally I would prefer wash then decon with fallout remover . Wash then potentially repeat depending on how bad the initial fallout showed. Again depends if being polished, waxed etc
Hello! I noticed your pad sometimes stalling out when applying the liquid wax...
I've had the same issue with my DA when applying wax on a low speed, especially on contours where it's sometimes necessary to apply a bit more pressure.
This has put me off using my machine for waxing, but maybe the 'jiggling' motion is sufficient on its own? Especially if making a few passes in those areas?
What do you reckon? Maybe I should give it another go...
Anyone got some recommendations for good value fallout remover that comes in 5 litres. Ideally don’t wanna be spending the likes of £50, less the better. Tried autoglanz before and it wasn’t great.
Hi Paul
As always fantastic video, just a couple of questions.
Is a good idea to use fall out remover on ceramic coatings,
And is specky still doing UA-cam as haven't seen any new videos from him lately, cheers
Prewash first, otherwise you're wetting all the dirt and grime with fallout remover which makes the prewash less effective.
With a large amount of brake dust the car is gonna look bad till you finish the second step regardless of which comes first.
My neighbours fiesta is faded red and needs a good clay bar, wash and polish and wax for sure! I asked to do it and they said no, their loss!
Pre wash, wash the car then I dry the car and then apply fallout then I use clay bar with fallout remover makes wonders 👌
Pre-wash,foam,contact wash then dry, then fall out remover then rinse off ,dry car again .
Cracking video Paul! Amazed by the amount of fallout on that car even for a track car. Car has turned out amazing 😁
Would be great to get onto something like this but there's that much competition about now
I see you useing AVA pressurewasher ,self i have an AVA V6 P70
Bleeding 'ell. Looks like the owner has a lot of fun with their mini.
Fall-out always after citrus, snow foam and contact wash then reassess after fall-out used.
pre wash , lay over snow foam after 5 mins, rinse then fall out.
Great, informative video & great to see you back on your channel Paul ( but rightly and always, health & family first).
Bokers u ever gonna clean your car yourself man 😂
Good to see you back on YT Paul, the two camera angles are certainly a nice change from static.
Re the fallout question, I wouldn’t use a fr first as it’s only going to react with the dirt on top and as you said it’s not a good idea in the summer time.
Always been told start with the least aggressive chemical and you went in with zero decon was it? That took off a lot which the fr chemical had something to react with but remember a fr does not dissolve the metal only the oxide that’s holding it on to the paint
Has Specky given up on YT as it’s been 4 months since his last video???
Hi mate no specky has had a lot of personal problems and moving house he will be back soon 👍🏻
Quick question, and maybe a topic for discussion, Fall out remover: i was told that iron fallout remover works by disolving the oxide ( rust) around the the iron partical to release it, so doesnt dessolve the iron partical, so potentialy could still scratch your paintwork if washed off with a wash mit instead of pressure washing it off,
Interested what the thoughts are on this?
Much of a debate this one after talking to fellow detailers it’s a 50/50 split bearing in mind GT iron oxide can be used with a wash mitt
Glad you and family are feeling better. Thank you for posting a great video you were sorely missed Paul
Good to have you back sir, me and the wife have also been ill with a heavy man flu, I pre wash then fallout, have missed the podcast hope specky is doing good
Great to see you back Paul, currently ill myself but hopefully not a month long one! For me pre wash before the fallout. Great video as always and a crazy amount of fallout!
I wouldn't be using a water based dressing on the outside. Soon as it rains it will just run and look awful. Oil based on the outside everytime 👌🏻
Depends on the brand but good comment 👍🏻
Pre was always first when i was detailing
Hey Paul, so sorry you had to deal with that illness, glad you’re back, but more importantly, I truly hope your health gets back to 100%. 🙏🏻
Pre wash, wash, tar removal then iron removal. Make sure there is no dirt or tar on top of the iron contamination. That’s my process. That mini was badly contaminated 😮
The two 3D products I have tried are 3D Speed and 3D One. I rate both products
. Glad to see you back.
Totally agree. I will wash again after fallout with garage therapy shampoo, just to make sure paint is stripped back.
I use fallout remover as a clay lube after I prewash done them contact wash them I'll use it let vit dwell them spray and clay
Actually heard a lot of pros do that 👍🏻
Good to have you back paul youv been greatly missed, you tube is not the same with out you, hope to see more of your channel ❤
Thanks 🙏🏻
Great video, interested in those plastic/rubber stands you have the wheels on whilst washing?
Rimmats under the video for the link 👍🏻
Crazy amount of fallout on that car
Hope you get well soon😊 your one of the best,in the way you say it as it is,see you in the next one

Lovely job Paul.
A question: without claying will waxing with machine cause swirls?
No because the decontamination stage has been done and it’s a soft pad on the machine so marring will be minimal 👍🏻
Fallout after pre wash 👍
Cmon Paul,2 coats of Soft99 Fuso Coat would blown that wax outta the water.
I’ve got Soft99 Fusso but wanted to try 3D by Machine 👍🏻
Wow! That was a lot of paint contamination!
Great job on that Mini.
Edit: I was wondering if the owner tracked the car, you don't see high performance tires on the street very often, and it's a JCW mini.
Great to see you back and on the mend, as always a great video Paul
Pre wash then fall out
What a great transformation! To you question about what order I would apply fallout remover in; after the contact wash for me.
So glad to hear you're feeling better darling.
Metro bomb 💣 Whey hey 🙌
Nice video Paul, looks like he had been collecting fall out especially for you!. When applying the poxy do you clean the pad at all?. Thanks buddy, glad you're feeling better.
No need to your just spreading the product 👍🏻
@@PaulDoldenDetails Thanks
Realisticly How long dose the wax last? I know they claim 6 months, im looking for something that last a while and gives good shine, with long lasting beading. Its probably hard to find something with everything ticked but any recommendations?
Maybe look at this or Vonixx blend which is Silca based
@@PaulDoldenDetails thanks I'll check it out :)
Really struggling with a single stage (cellulose) 1986 red car. Get it looking nice and within a couple of months paint has faded and looks pink.
Any good UV protection I can use to stop that happening?
Try Soft99 fusso coat
@@PaulDoldenDetails that's what I have been using but paint still fades.
Unfortunately car lives outside as don't fit in garage either.
Some might say Paul hasn’t had a cold and has actually been looking at amplifiers for the past weeks……..ehem 😳 (superb job as always)
Dam it Stu it’s speakers now 😂😂
lol musical money pit!
Well done made a lovely job of it ,
" We got a bleeder "
Good job Wash Car
Big transformation paul wow . I'm looking to replace my kartcher k5 with a Ava p80 , emailed Ava and they said there bringing out a new version soon . I'm a big fan of mile deep products and jody is such a nice guy. I go to his meet ups at his premises every month with my vw mk4 golf gti (owned for over 20 years). Glad you're feeling better paul , looking forward to more videos.
Hey how are you
Glad to see you back and with another cracking video. For me personally, I would stick to old habits, routine if you will and prewash before fallout
Homage to the green mini video!
Great video mate love my 3D products too!
Fallout remover is my last step in decon as I like to use the fallout as a lube for clay pad.
Love your work mate hope you both are on the mend 👍
Hello Paul, hope you are feeling better😊,the Mini looked really dirty,it have took a while to clean especially the stuck on marks on the doors and bumper.there was alot of iron fallout on the bodywork 😮,the results are amazing.
A job well done Sir! Looked ace after that hard work. As far as the FO/PW debate, y'know, its a good question and I not sure really. I'll have to dwell on that. Great video as well, Paul love the camera angles 😊
@Ammo NYC had similar issues with extreme brake dust, had to use heat and oven cleaner, check it out think it's called first wash in 5 years Audi s5
To be honest mate I’ve always done the pre wash first followed by the fall out remover but it’s not something I’ve ever thought about as I just assumed that was the best way of doing it.
Sorry to hear about you both not being well. Hope you both get better soon. Personally, I would use fall out remover before the wash stage and repeat if necessary. Great video as usual. I’m also really enjoying your podcast with Specky.
If I apply an iron remover, when doing a full detail, I apply the fall-out remover after the car is hand washed. Then I use my clay mitt and iron remover at the same time, via the Yvan Lacroix method. Doing this process, you are knocking out two steps into one.
Great video Paul,I would have hit it with tfr too, great news my new Nilfisk got delivered today 🎉🎉😊
Great to see you back and Happy New Year - great video and nice to see some dofferent products being used - The 3D range looks intersting, especially the machine applied poxy.
great video Paul
Good to have you back Paul and in good health.
Don't think I've ever seen contamination that bad, unless it was the promo shot for a fallout remover! 😲
Good to see you back on YT.
That was one helluva mucky car. Think you did the process in the right order but wow did that car change colour.
Which prewash did you use with the ik sprayer the strong smelling one would be keen to know
Garage therapy De-Con as mentioned in the video
@@PaulDoldenDetails Thankyou Paul I appreciate the fast reply back Enjoy the spring weather hopefully might see some new detailing videos from yourself as its getting lighter and more pleasant weather
Good to have you back mate
Get well soon bro
Hi Paul. Great vid as usual.
Personally I used to use fallout after the first contact wash. However I now apply fallout AFTER the prewash/ snow foam. Then apply fallout and do the first contact wash whilst the fallout is still on the car.
Edited to update. So I paused the video right at the beginning and commented. My theory is, fallout remover is ( in my opinion) slightly wrongly labelled. It doesn’t remove the fallout, it’s purpose it to dissolve the corrosion (iron oxide)around the iron particles which in turn LOOSENS the embedded particles. Pressure washing off will inevitably dislodge most of the particles after fallout application. However contact washing will remove the dislodged particles much more efficiently than just pressure washing alone. Only caveat with the contact wash is it will of course scratch the paint. So I would only do this method if machine polishing after. As a maintenance process I would apply fallout and pressure wash off and repeat if required. Done a couple times a year shouldn’t require contact washing whilst fallout is still on the paint?? Long winded but hopefully that makes sense???
Great video Paul, as always the car was absolutely minging, the products (and you) worked really well 👏
Pre wash, wash, de-con... I find it works for me... And get well soon mate!!
welcome back sir, and chemical decon after pre-wash/foam and first contact wash (after tar removal too).
Another fantastic and informative video Paul
Hope you and the Mrs feel better.
I say the prewash was still the way to go and it’s a waste if fallout has to find the dirt to get to the contamination. A outstanding job as always
Glad you are better now
Good to see you back again Paul, definitely pre wash and then fallout, the mini looks great 👍
Good to see you back Paul
Hi Joe hope your well mate we need to team up
@@PaulDoldenDetails all good here. Yes we do. I think this is part of my '24 plan. Three or four colabs!
Great job Paul! Good to see you back doing videos. Nice hoody too! 👍🏼😁
Great video , great getting your knowledge on things and techniques
Thanks
What's the make of your chemical resistant brush please
Garage therapy I mentioned it 👍🏻👍🏻
@@PaulDoldenDetails much appreciated cheers Paul
Great videos m8
Great stuff guys! Good to see the ABSORB+ towel getting an outing 👌 💚
Car looked like an extra from a horror movie with all the blood all over it.
Im happy you and your wife are getting better from the cold, great vid paul.
Welcome back mate. Missed your posts.
Thanks David I’ve been so under the weather my friend my Skoda is filthy I’ve had no energy trying to get back into the groove 👍🏻🇬🇧
The legend returns :) Glad to hear you and the wife are on the mend!
Thanks 🙏🏻 Phil speak soon
💗 Showing love from Austin, TX USA 💗
Why don't you use alkaline shampoo for heavily soiled cars?
I do take a look at GT Zero shampoo it was used as the prewash but can also be used as a shampoo
@@PaulDoldenDetails Personally, I'm not a fan of pH-neutral shampoos. I believe they can indirectly cause more scratches since they don't clean as effectively. I think abrasive techniques like claying have become more popular as a result of pH-neutral shampoos. What do you think?
@fluzzerr if the prewash has been effective then you can get away with PH neutral but I know where your coming from alkaline prewash and shampoo is great for winter grime there was no mechanical decontamination with this car as it wasn’t in for paint correction it’s a track weapon 👍🏻
I'm watching this while in bed dying with man flu 😂
Fallout and wheel cleaning chemicals in a trigger spray rather than a pump spray, Discuss......
I’ve found larger pump sprays dilute the products more I tend to use a mixture these days
I actually prefer the contrast doing them on the stones. I find it makes it easier to see the products working especially on a wheel like the black ones compared to doing it outside the driveway on the tarmac. That’s just me being picky though. I’m definitely in camp do it on the drive and get told off after. Awesome vid as ever Paul!
I’ll just bribe Samantha with Gin cheers @aaronalp2639
👏🏻
Glad you’re feeling better, I have been patiently waiting on videos and podcasts.
I have always wondered why we wait till after the contact wash to do fallout 🤔
Mini looks cracking.. keep them coming.
Because fallout remover isn't effective at cleaning other types of dirt . You don't want to saturate all the dirt on the car with it because it reduces the effectiveness of the prewash chemical.
Great hifi system
Still upgrading speakers etc mainly second hand eBay
Hi Paul do you have any tips on how to eliminate dog vomit odor please
As soon he was sick I used a wet vac sucked it up using carpet cleaner
But the car still smells terrible
Enzyme killer Valetpro do it 👍🏻
@PaulDoldenDetails
I did try that thnx paul the smell still there
Should I do it neat
Because I done half and half of water
Should I use a extractor or just spray it on
@PaulDoldenDetails
Should I use a extractor or use it 50 50 or do I do it neat please
Spray it on
@PaulDoldenDetails
Is that neat please paul
