My mom used to be in young women’s when I was just a little kid in primary. Her young women sang this in sacrament meeting and my mom would always talk about how much she loves this song and I never knew why. But now that I’m older and know the true meaning of this song I now know what my mom was talking about.

This song made me come overpowered with so many emotions, i went cold, I felt on the verge of tears of both joy and sadness and I was also super joyous and filled with the Holy Spirit and it was confusing yet wonderful. I listen to this song multiple times a week if not per day, I always feel the Holy Spirit when I hear this song, it’s so simple yet so true, the world drowned out the voice that we need to listen out for. My whole life I’ve watched my friends change into what the world says is beautiful, I was blessed enough to not care too much about trends etc, I didn’t want to conform I just wanted to blend in to avoid being bullied. The world says this is how we need to act, how we need to look or who we need to associate with, it’s not something I’ve ever cared about. This song is a wonderful reminder that the only beauty we need to care about is being beautiful in the eyes of the only one who matters. This song makes me consider what have I done today to be beautiful to Him, I know i have done things to become beautiful to Him, I strive to continue to. I feel such a strong spirit and pride when I can listen and know I’ve done something today which makes me beautiful to Him, that’s all I care about. Such an awesome song ❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼
