Ozito 18v hedge trimmer review and test

  • In this video I'll be doing a quick review and test of the Ozito 18v hedge trimmer and very quick review of the Ozito 18v blower from the Ozito Power X Change range of tools.
I wanted to see what sort of job the hedge trimmer did and what sort of cutting capacity and power it actually had. The blower review is very brief as it's not my main focus of the video.
This is only my second video, so I'm still learning how to get it right, and I'm not the best at trying to come up with what to say (or getting what's in my head to come out right).
My first video, a review of the Ozito impact wrench, can be found here • Ozito PXC 18V Brushles...

Cheers mate.. you've sealed my thought on buying this pack. I've already got the ozito whipper snipper, cordless mower drill and impact drill.. this pack will definitely be an added bonus

@mad082sss bought them yesterday from Bunnings, tried and tested and they're bloody awesome. With a 5 year warranty and good value.. can't beat it. Cheers for the review 👍

I've got the Einhell version of both of these and I'm really pleased with them. Only just discovered Ozito (I'm in the UK) and bought a Ozito cordless lawnmower it was cheaper than the Einhell branded version and I'm really impressed with that also. Now looking at getting more Ozito tools 👍

Thank you for that - the hedge trimmer seems like it would do what we need so it's nice to have that confirmed before I spend money :)

Thank you so much for this. I've been researching & tossing up for days now as to which blower & trimmer would suit me. Looked at Ryobi, Makita & Ozito. Needed to be very lightweight. This is the best video I've watched and my hedge you demonstrated trimming is same as mine. Thank you:)

Thank you for the review and your time! I couldn’t decide between ozito skin vs makita DUH523Z but for the price, weight and rpm ozito is the winner, both have 5 years warranty if registered and makita has the brand and more length but is heavier, less rpm and almost double the price as the ozito.
Update: just bought the hedge trimmer is very light and good, only complaint is the opening of the scissor teeth are a bit small to trim big leafs and the clutch got loose after 1h so not able to cut any small branch. Fixed it by cutting washers and clamping them where the pliers are in the photo. After the mod it works so good!

    Thanks for the review.
@9:30 You should be using the trimmer in the opposite direction.(away from your body).

Thanks for watching and for the advice, I will keep that in mind next time. I will just say though, I wasn't really putting any force on the trimmer, just sitting it there and letting it cut through (it's not like a chainsaw where applying pressure helps it cut). But yes, better to cut away

Thanks for the video, but could you reduce the sound volume when turning the tools on?

I'm only using the Windows video editor which doesn't have that function, sorry. I couldn't justify buying an editing program for the sake of making a couple of videos. That's money that I'd rather spend on things I'll use on a regular basis, like more tools.

hi mate, thanks a lot for the video, can we cut big grass as well on the ground or this is only for hedges on the boundary ? Please advise. thanks again. Cheers

Hey mate, if the grass is thick enough (I'm talking about the size of the grass, not how dense it is) it would probably work but you would have to go slow with it. A line trimmer would be faster and do a better job. I'll give it a try when it's not raining and let you know

    • @mad082sss
      @mad082sss  2 роки тому +1

Ok so i have it a quick test on some longer grass (about 30cm high) and it will cut it ok. The thicker the stalk of the grass the better. I wouldn't want to be doing a lot of it though as it would hurt your back pretty quickly. A whipper snipper/ line trimmer would be a better option
