Is there anyway to make it ask for credentials each time the network share is accessed ? Ive opened it once (on windows) without "remember my credentials" ticked and its just perminately unlocked
Great tutorial videos, though it is strictly looking at starting a new one from scratch. What about replacing an old unit with a new one? I'm looking at replacing my old 8 bay QNAP with a new unit with larger drives. Maybe create a video on that concept, upsizing and replacing aging hardware and drives?

It's super easy, just move discs from one QNAP to another, systems checks it and tells about moving. After check you can normally work.
@AABB-oi7hv i don't want to move the drives. They are too old and now too small. I need new and much bigger drives
@@crazyhands911. Well this is harder. Lot of apps are 3rd party. Best way is thru SSH terminal in PuTTY.
