saro's 2nd song (Billie Jean) was insanly build, he made the loop in that way that after the guy with the hat came, saro hits the reverse button and only then you could realize that is billie jean, it always has been
Pretty good, but I still think Tom Thum takes some beating. Check out his Beatbox Brilliance (TEDx Sydney). He does a whole jazz band set on his own! And how on Earth he can imitate the cracking sound of an old vinyl record player too is beyond me! 😎
Tom Thum is a legend, he did a lot for the beatbox community even though his beatbox skills aren't too crazy he's very musical and creative, the vinyl cracking sound is very easy to make

he came out of nowhere
proceeded to destroy 2 competitions
then left and never competed again
he's a judge now in most competitions
I love how all us beatbox fans always try to get our favorite reactors to react to saro because that was our first artist we saw and liked

7:40 basically the battle aspect is on the musicality and the use of the loop , beatbox doesn't count that much as long as you come with a banger. but it also depends on judge's tastes to give the point or not !

yesss please keep reacting to beatbox, you'll find some AMAZING beatboxers and it would be a fun journey, tons of loopstations/beatbox battles to come!! I think it's judged as a whole, i mean beatboxing is probably the key element but loopstations are also to showcase how creative you can be with your beatbox as well as adding in things like singing and rapping etc. love the reaction!!
let's not lie, loopstation has almost nothing to do with beatboxing skills anymore, I mean except for example MB14, most loopers barely beatbox, it's more about putting a song together

Imagine when he notices that Saro and MB14 are a beatbox Tag Team and also a loopstation duo called WolfGang. A good path could be you checking one of their first battles where there is a reference in the middle I hope you are able to spot it on (MB14 & SARO vs HERSHE & BASS VENTURA) and since this video is about beatbox I think that you could check (top 10 beatbox drops gbb2019) it will show you how much beatbox has envolve. And because you asked: Yes, the usage of the loopstation is taken into consideration. If you use the loopsation well and are creative that gives you points. But of course there are still normal beatbox battles without loopstations. Might want to check out one of them too.

Some info for the New er videos the longer u go down he rabbithole. In this video they Are using whats called an mk1(the loopstation) and by the latest gbb (21) the mk2 hadnt released, but All loopers who had participated in a competition called kick back battle, got the prototype to experiment with a long time before others, and therefore at the gbb 21 some loopers had the New machine and some People didnt(i reccommend watching brez vs rythmind as it thought of many as the beat loopstation battle ever, and Brez also Calls him out for using a machine thats bot released yet, as rythmind was the current champion) but I would watch All of gbb 19 loop battles first, also to get some of the inside jokes(like headshot) and just to see how fast the looping has evolved in just 2 years and still does. I could write insanely much more, but just happy to see anyone start reacting to beatbox as I love to see New perspective from People who hasnt watched it, we have All been there at some point where our jaw just dropped 😂😂
But yeah most of gbb 19 battles Are crazy good, and then the gbb 21 loops Are insane

Everything you hear is taken in consideration to put it easy . More or less . technicality is the main thing though , the way you use the loop and take advantage of it is the "selling" point for the judges

Foranyone wondering what the hell tioneb's second round was, he knew he lost after Saro's Billie Jean round so he just did a non planned remix of one of Saro's tracks
This was probably around the time of the changing of the guard.
Saro came and destroyed everyone as he came out of nowhere with a totally different style and beats and really made use of the machines capability’s in producing his music.
Tioneb was very much a make it up on the fly with more traditional beatboxing beats and loops whilst freestyling over the top, often battle lyrics and performances,

For anime openings and shows to check out I would suggest The "Fate Series" is phenomenal!! Some of the BEST fight scenes in all of anime are in this series! It pits summoned Heroes of old against each other vying for victory and obtaining the Holy Grail for themselves and their masters, to grant any wish imaginable ! For example King Arthur versus Heracles! It however can be very confusing to watch as there are many different watch orders for the series. There are shows in the main line of events and shows that are like side stories from different times, but because how the universe is set up its all canonical, similar to the MCU branching out to different time lines!

I really want to recommend you to check out the battle between Rythmind and Frosty. They are both considered "legends" of the loopstation community. Rythmind is the Grand Champion of GBB2019 and Frosty came second on GBB21.

Loopstation is all about the music you produce with the device. It isn't really about the beatboxing you do with the machine, especially nowadays.
