    Great demo and song choice man. I love how the reverb transformed the beginning sound segment into a submarine sonar ping.

    Nice! I’m using mine with a mono split from my main signal to the reverb and a separate amp. That goes to some speakers in the back of the room, just to give a little reflected backsplash from the wall behind me, a la a live event in an enclosed space.

      @@jukesjointOG Thanks, It was a nickname my brother gave me when I got into music and audio engineering. Just one of those things that stuck.

      Gregg Juke I have seen it used on guitar a couple of times. My recollection was it sounded great for that.

    Thank you for doing this. Good demo. I'm eyeing this for sale, considering a purchase.
    Always wanted a spring reverb. Just not fond of them always having their own inherent resonant frequencies.

    I just purchased one of these and I'm dying to try it out. I also just purchased a Marshall 15 studio tube amp in absolutely perfect condition. I'm looking forward to trying out these two new toys with my...lol..also just purchased a Fender Ultra Luxe guitar. Yeah, this the season to waste money! Great video, I was hoping to find one demonstrating the reverb amp and there you were! New subscriber, thank you!

    This pioneer is good to music?

    I’m wondering if anyone can help me with the exact connection method. I think I have it set up correct (I hear the boing boing when I tap it) but I’m not hearing that dramatic reverb echo…I’m sending it into and out of a pioneer SX 535. Any thoughts?

    Hi, How much white noise are you getting from your unit?

  • @Halliday7895

    but what were these sold to be used for predominantly? recording? looks liek home audio to me...who ads reverb to a song they are listening ? i guess maybe listening to really really old recordings before studios had all the tech maybe you could get more realistic tones.

      These were kind of novelty items and needed to be used sparingly, if it all. The reverb itself was on the cheap side using a spring tank just like those found in guitar amps, that's why these were popular with guitar players because spring reverb sounds great on guitars. Truth be told if the reverb was of higher quality like those found in Lexicon systems the effect would sound much better on a 2-track mix.

    Great demo, thank you. Please don't take offense to this, but has anyone ever told you that your voice sounds like you could be the normal, articulate version of the "Bigfoot" character from the Howard Stern show?

    • @marcusdolby1
      @marcusdolby1  3 роки тому +1

      Eric Schlotzer Not that character but many have said I should do radio or voice over work.

      you have to convert microphone cables to have an xlr out and the other side needs to have rca connectors i believe.

    It would have been a little more effective he had picked a song that didn't already have saturated reverb
