don’t know how feasible this is, but you could have a passive wheel as well, and whoever’s playing could opt to forfeit some of the buff (3x instead of 4x) in favour of a hero passive (zen kick, wallclimb, junkrat’s post-mortem bombs). just popped in my head when karq mentioned how wallclimb would have been nice
It is feasible but might be clunky. The dummy bots can already control player movement like the pharah jump so wall climb shouldn't be a problem.
But it's a case by case thing, it'll be a lot of work lol
Emongg said in one of the past videos that currently they aren’t able to apply hero passives to other characters, which means that passives are just a part of whichever hero you get along with primary fire and whatnot. He said he’d like to figure out if it’s possible in the future, but at the moment it’s not.
@@HaplessAtlas It should be easy to check the hero type and apply passives directly to the player himself.

Is there a way to give them the support passive at all times? Also OW needs to make this possible without needing code to do it. Just let any ability be able to be chosen from a menu. May not have animations but it’s workshop or custom games

Yes and no. It's possible but a lot wouldn't work and hero limits are already a problem

Winston with no mobility or sustainability would be THE WORST. I feel the first built could have worked with another stat boost, but his damage was too low so he accumulated damage and needed every free second to collect healthpacks instead of moving the objective.
Also push is the worst mode 1v5.
But gotta admit that Ana didn't play bronze level.
Would be funny if you could add passives like Reaper life steal, Sombra Wall hack, Shimada Wall climb / double jump...

I think when they reroll they could either choose hero or abilities and take out the hero/abilities that they had before, or just make it a entire reroll-so new bero and abilities

The top 500 players are always losing because of self-sustain issues. You might just want to give them the support passive so they can play the game without relying on health packs
Fully agree. Would make it more balanced for both teams and just a more enjoyable watch.
@@switchblade6 Also agree. It's not that fun to watch the back and forth that obviously happens when the solo player has no real way to heal themselves without giving up point and inevitably die no matter how good their kit is or how good they're playing.
It might make it harder on the 5 if the one has self healing but let's be honest most people enjoy watching the solo player win anyway. I've loved this series but the best video by far has been the Reaper one which Marblr dominated in.
They get it if they get a support hero, also if Karq chose to buff spin monke it'd also buff healing received and he woulda won easily. It's all abt luck/if they choose to buff they choose to win
I believe in one of the earlier episodes he said he couldn't give any passives because of workshop limitations
@@Noctua8 Yes, but many of the support heroes have absolutely terrible primary fire making it near impossible to win. Remember Marblr losing with Bap? Literally the strongest support hero weapon and he still lost. Imagine if they had to play Mercy or Lucio.
And the buff they receive isn't to the healing they get, it's just higher hero stats. And no matter how high the stats go it really doesn't matter. The obvious issue in any 5v1 or 10v1 (jay3 actually has the best sample size for this) is always that regardless of who wins the gameplay always devolves into the solo player either killing the entire team within a few seconds or getting melted a few seconds after that. There's very little outplaying or strategy involved, it's mostly just whether the solo player manages to kill every single enemy with enough spare time to also hunt for a health pack and manage the point at the same time.
It's really fun to watch the solo player succeed in these conditions because the odds are so stacked against them. But in a mode like this one, more often than not the solo player has an extra, HUGE, handicap in that their randomized abilities don't synergize at all. This makes it so besides that one OP reaper video, every single other video has been the solo player getting absolutely destroyed. Even when the solo player gets "close" it never feels like a close battle, it just feels like the solo player slowly dying with literally no options to work with to turn things around.
Don't get me wrong, I love randomizer and it's my favorite thing emongg has done on his channel. I would just love to see some changes that would at least make the game contestable. I don't even need it to be perfectly balanced, but I just want the solo player to actually have a chance outside of rolling Reaper (who is only OP because lifesteal with buffed stats is actually insane and full heals like 300HP on a single shot).
Personally, telling the bronze players what his abilities are ruins the fun. Make it a surprise so that they cant just immediately counter the entire kit - make them learn and swap if need be. Plus, if they dont know the ult, itll make the first one so much better (and seeing them freak out that a winton has genji dash would be funny)

Probably should add the regen health passive to all heroes. Otherwise pushing the payload/bot is just too much while hunting health packs unless you get reaper.

the passive is tied to the character so the only time we will see a wall riding custom hero is when the randomizer chooses Lucio.
