I wish I’d seen this video sooner! I had an event yesterday and missed out on so many sales because my POS system was defunct. Didn’t realize I needed the app to have the card reader work. Today is day two I’m trying again and I’m hoping it’ll be a better experience for everyone because I’m really upset I missed out on so many sales!

Just a little information about doing Manual Entries with respect to chargebacks: You (the seller) will lose the chargeback 10/10 times if you manually enter the card. Unless you have video of the customer providing said card to you in exceptional 4k video definition, you will lose the chargeback. It also adds about 1% of extra processing fees to the seller. Just wake the reader up, and use the dip or tap method for card reading. It is highly recommended to do all you can to avoid manual card entry.

Im in MD but near me is DC and VA - in the pos system ( in my phone app) Do I have to change location -> add market address in order NOT to charge taxes ? Bc I dont have sales tax id in other states

I have the card reader here. Do you know how to enable Apple Pay or use Apple Pay with this reader? I have it enabled if they purchase directly on my Shopify but I can’t figure out how to accept Apple Pay with the POS and this reader at markets
How do you properly collect taxes at the popup event if it is in a different location than your online store without changing you primarily address?
you can add additional addresses from your account and then you should be able to switch your address from the POS app. you will go to settings > select the other address.

I have to manually enter all the time, so annoying because POS always turns off and it never wakes back up.

@@LetsBuildaBoutique I meant the card reader always goes to sleep by the time I need it, it's faster to manually enter the card by the time I wake it back up.
