    This is one of my favorites. I think they propagate better in pon I had one water and it started to rot. But thank goodness it was growing a new node and that one grew a root a month later. This one is a variegated that has light variegation.
    I also have a small regular one in soil it’s growing slow I got this one in August. Im thinking in repotting in better soil see how it grows.
    I also got a new one that has more variegation I just put that one in pon. Hopefully it starts rooting soon ❤❤

    I just watched a video on this syngonium. Love it. Looking for more input before I decide to purchase one.
    Ha. Who am I kidding. I already know that I am going to be getting my own. Thanks for your input. ❤🌱❤🌱❤🌱

    Love your videos. I purchased the same pots. How much water do you put in the reservoir.

    • @kevin.

      THANK YOU SO MUCH 🥰. for the smaller ones, I put 1 1/2-2 cups, for the ones in the video, I put 2 1/2 - 3 cups. About the 1/4-1/3 way up the pot. I don't think it's necessary to put that much but I think because I have all my plants in a sunny area, the reservoir is used up faster. I do much less when it comes to baby plants (plant with smaller root systems) or plants that live in darker areas.

      @@lise6107 Thanks again. It really means a lot! Also, I was supposed to visit Ottawa for the first time this year in the Spring! I'm sure it's a lovely place.

      I'm sure I've seen those pots on Amazon. Are they self watering? Me - I think I need water level indicators, too! They don't have those? And they don't look like they have any wicks to fetch the water up to the growth medium and baby roots? But the Syngonium (is that one commonly called 'Frosted Heart'?) looks to be thriving with that method. Maybe I'm being too OCD but I do tend to kill plants with over watering. I usually use Lechuza pots but, for belts and braces, I glue in a tube for filling the reservoir without the water touching the medium on the way down! Totally traumatised by past water based catastrophes! I'd love to get into lecca, though.

    I have a one leaf cutting with lots of roots in soil, but it hasn’t been doing anything for over a month and 1/2 now. It’s under my grownlights with a humidifier. I’m wondering if I should move it to semi-hydro???

    Love! How long after cutting should you wait before placing in water?

    • @kevin.
      @kevin.  3 роки тому

      Thanks Manushka! 💚 I actually didn't wait at all. That may have been a reason why I lost one cutting through rot. I think the rule is usually a couple hours to a day depending on the plant.

    May I know what's the origin potting mix u use? A regular Aroid mix? Thanks.

    • @kevin.
      @kevin.  3 роки тому +1

      95% of my plants are in LECA and passive hydroponics. When I do use potting mix, I use a mix of 35-45% Peat/coco coir, 35-45% perlite/pumice/charcoal/orchid bark, 10-15% worm castings.

    What nutrients are you using for passive hydro and the plants in soil. Thanks.

    • @kevin.
      @kevin.  4 роки тому

      I use the 3 part flora series from General Hydroponics to make my nutrient solution and I've been using the leftover solution to water my plants in soil

    • @lise6107
      @lise6107 4 роки тому +2

      I'm using the flora series too, and using a different fertilizer for my soil plants. Going To start using the flora series for my soil plants. It will be much easier. I have over 100 plants. Thanks so much.

    Could've been better if you use a moss or cocopeat put in a transparent plastic and cover the aerial roots then cut until a lot of roots are present. For the water propa you did maybe you used chlorinated water thats why they died..just my theory 😅..anyways happy planting
