I too have this P0299 code. I already replaced a damaged intercooler that I thought was the root cause of the problem but still the same issue. DV valve is fine too. If the PCV is fine then I’ll have to see if what you did in this video helps me. Thanks for the video! Extremely helpful for the near future!
I've changed two turbos (A4 and A5) and none of the four units (2 new ones and 2 old ones) have the adjuster on them. Seems like Audi got rid of the adjuster so they can sell turbos... thanks Audi!
Hi, my actuator rod and clip have no play at all. But there's still a chance that the flapper could be loose? My car has no power when accelerating with code p0299. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I have a Audi A4 b7 my turbo charger is making a clicking clunking sound, ls this the route of the problem? Or do I need to replace the turbo charger..thanks
Happens all the time....and not just with Audi. My buddy has an Acura RDX and had the same exact problem. His dealer told him he needed a new turbo, but he found out that he could just tighten his wastegate and that fixed the problem 100%.
I need help i have the same problem . My 2008 by had a cracked turbo intercooler and a bad turbo. I put a new turbo and a new intercooler and i still get the code p0299
Great job this is the best and most helpful video on the Audi A4 be seven I have seen Paysign bought a new turbo after I had replaced all the gauges the only thing I haven’t checked was the Westgate vacuum plunger thing whatever that’s called but thank you so much this was a very great and helpful video and I appreciate it
Straight up easy peasy video. Very very informative! Thank you so much for sharing! Ride safe out there! Is your 2006 turbo set the same with 2008? I know those years are the same in everything. I haven't removed the turbo yet. So just asking.
@@marclalogia7216 Yes, if there's play in the linkage... turn the adjuster to remove the play. I did the same on a Tiguan not too long ago (was able to adjust in with the turbo in place). Once the flapper or the linkage (that the flapper pivots on) is worn too much... an adjustment alone won't help.
Holly f%ck thank you for Making a well to understood video your the man. Question i hear u replaced the intake did your car also have that water pipe hidden in the wheel well?

Its the wastegate bro any updates? I got my 09 audi a4 2TQ with the same code im guessing this is my issue

How did this hold up long term? I have a B7 A4 with the same issue and it would be great if I didn’t have to replace the turbo

Look up turbo bend tool. You don’t even need to remove anything
Do you know if this works with 2013 audi a4 b8, are they the same turbos with the adjuster?
Did u hear any noise before like rattling?
Long metal rod to control the waste gate + lots of heat. Does it just get stretched out or something? How has this repair held up now a year later?
How when you took off bolt from the cat you could push back to see in the turbo think you save me a lot of money

Please add another link with the turbo removal. The above is not working. Thanks.
Imagine taking this to a dealer and paying $2,000 for a new turbocharger.

Yes that’s what they were trying to get from me, now I know where to go and doing it myself 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Is there any way that I can tighten it without taking the turbo off
I could not find a way to tighten it without removing it
I think if you have Quattro theres no way but 2 wheel drive you might have access
Hey man! The link doesn’t work on how you removed the turbo. If you can post it again that be great
It works for me
It didn't work for me.

@@cnc5543 On a Diesel (2.0 tdi) ?
@@baloukafou2962
According to the engine diagram it’s call a BPV bypass pressure valve.
@@cnc5543 ok thank you
Before you did this, did the turbo make weird noises on rev downs?
Benjamin Bostock yes. I could here it flapping
Word, I hear a rattle and whistle

Your lucky u even have an adjuster i have an a5 coupe and I have no adjuster and same problem with the wastegate

What diverter valve spacer do you have?
Stock
Bro do you have a link to that gauge mount ?
I bought it at autozone
How hard is it to take the turbo off and how long did it take?
3 out of 5 difficulty. Took me an hour to get off. You have to drain oil and coolant
@@brainstew1214 I have a 2010 A4 2.0 Quattro turbo do you know if it's the same one that?
Simple Man it should be pretty close
Simple Man I don’t think they come adjustable like that after the B7

Was this an ebay turbo?
Joey no. Stock turbo
How did this end up working for you?
If you pause the video at 2:15 you can take your time reading his update / result.
@@EXOVCDS You're everywhere brother, and you've saved me a ton of money with your videos. In your opinion is this the best way to solve this issue?

Unbelievable how they put this simple actuator on the side facing the block...sometimes feel like bashing my car with a sledgehammer☠️
Same lol

No it the intake cone was just sitting in the engine bay
Thank you 🙏🏽 for that video bro.
does this work with 2005 a4 b6 1.8t
I’m not sure if you can do this on the k03 in the 1.8t. They are different turbos
Thank You Sir.
Sweet, thanks guy.
Spot on dude
