- Welcome to V.B.S. Episode 32 -- Virtual Boat Shopping for our dream Great Loop boat. Today we look at a 2003 Johnson 58 Motor Yacht to see if we want to add it to our Yes! No! or Maybe? list of potential boats to purchase to do the Great American Loop.
We hope to set sail (or rather start our engines) on our Great Loop Adventure in March of 2022. But we still need to find a boat.

That was a great boat!
Good choice. Johnson are decent build. Carvers are NOT ocean-going unless it is completely calm. Side decks will be a bit scary when you are up hard against a high lock wall. You will feel squished. Great interior space though.
We've heard that about Carvers. We definitely want something that can handle the ocean.

@@TheBoomershines absolutely! I really like Johnson yachts lol had to throw the yachts in there😂🤣😁 this is a great choice since you’re looking to loop and then buying your dream boat. This will hold it’s value much better than a carver or lots of other brands so just because your not planning on keeping it I would go for it
