This seems right up my alley. I really like the apparent variety in hero build, battle cards (spells), even the bosses defensive action is random and varied. It's the good kind of random that fosters tactical decision making as well as some unexpected outcomes. Thanks for the full playthrough.
Publishers take note. If you get JonGetsGames to do a playthrough of your kickstarter game i am 100 times more likely to back it. I have backed this one on the back of Jon's videos
At 1:45:45 you say it was a bummer because you weren’t able to do a melee attack on the Golem since you aren’t in the space with it and end your turn. But you could have still rolled a melee and used the hit points to buy +1 tokens instead.
Thanks for the full playthrough! Although the game is not for me, I think. My general feeling with any game like this (or, say, Imperial Assault) is that if I have the time for the regular multi-hour sessions it takes, I'd rather use it to play an actual TTRPG.
@@JonGetsGames One more question, @ 1:48:00 ish, it seems you forgot to damage the Villain after Coach's melee attach (was at 30, should have dropped to 20). Is that correct, or am I missing something?
Nice playtrough as allways. At about 9:55, Are you allowed to discard a spell card, or does it simply mean that you can only pay a +1 token from the spell row? And about 36:00 Are you allowed to discard the melee card, folded steel, to use the range card pick pocket? I was in beleif that you can only discard exactly the same type of card.
At 9:55 you can discard any spell OR a +1 from the magic row. Regarding 36:00, I was under the impression that only the +1 token had to match the row and that any card could be discarded to pay for it. The designer did watch this and didn't mention that as an error so that leads me to think what I said is correct.
Thanks for another great video. You might want to make the link to your web site an actual URL by adding http: in front of it so people can click on it.
CORRECTIONS:
1:48:56 - We forgot to actually lower the villain's health by 10!
Thanks for the full playthrough!!

That is a good point! It's easy to forget that option and those tokens are certainly useful to have around.

1:27:05 Doesn't that map let you move without spending an action too? Not that it really matters.
Yeah I suppose that was another option. I honestly forgot about that effect while I was filming :P
Thanks for the full playthrough! I'm not so sure that Lucky Sweater was that lucky though. I don't think it ever actually got you a lower die value!
Hehe yeah. I do think it rolled lower at least once... maybe just once.
Question: At 14:02, you used 4 of your 6 hits to wound the gnome, could you have used the remaining 2 hits to gain a +1 token?
For Heroes yes, but sidekicks aren't allowed to spend hits to make +1 markers.
@@JonGetsGames Derp, didn't realize it was the minion...

Crap, you are right! I've added corrections about this, thanks!
What if you start a campaign with 2 people, but want to continue later with more players? Or vice versa?
I'm not sure, sorry.

Huh, great point. I've corrected my template, thanks!
