There was a cave that was called the old rail tunnels or something like that, right? Wouldn't be a bad idea.

Dude, genius, those caves are so massive everyone on the server can build in and out tracks from their base to the deep areas and there would still be room to spare.
If I made a looped track would it never stop?. And couldn't I put a turret on it so it can circle my base killing everything??
cant find a way to loop a track yet. the tracks have arrows and you can't have 2 arrows facing each other (from what i've tested).

@@deathslide8 you can loop them just not in a way that will turn the train around facing the other way on the track
Can different tribes use the same train tracks?
For the bed you could use a coffin and even close the lid so you are fully covered.
Loving the broken Oasisaur head next to your track. Mine keeps doing that too.
Cannot easily make a secondary loop since the tracks are a one way layout.
I built a track all the way around the outskirts of the map on our PVE server and I've found that they are actually super bugged right now. They seem to kick you off at inopportune times and are hard to get back on to when it does kick you off. It reminds me of how it just teleports you back above ground when ghosting into the map. (I am an admin on our server and have to ghost to wipe meshed structures and it is the biggest pain)
On our dedicated server we tested this with about 2400m track (western peninsula to base of the volcano). When it gets about 350m from anyone it freezes and doesn't move until someone gets with 350ish meters of it.
You have to turn hibernation off. Then things outside of a character's render range are calculated too.
@andreheise1170 from what I have read it's a dedicated server so there is no hibernation to turn off. It runs under stasis mode which still freezes things outside range (which just "updates" the status of everything according to time passed when back in range of stuff). We were hoping to be able to fill the train at the mountain and send it back on its own to the beach where our base is.

I tried to make a track from my base to green ob, circle around it and merge back, to come back to base. But since tracks are only one directional, it would not merge. I think that's dumb.
Very expensive to build on official servers even with current 6x harvest rates
ok but a turret train set up along the wyvern trench. will make getting eggs a whole new meta
They need to add speed 2 on train

they need to add a way to set a track to stop the train, then it should be set where i can click the train and tell it what stop ( depot ) to send the train to.
I imagine that their speed might also be for stability reasons, wouldn't want it going faster then things can load like you could sometimes get with griffons

Should soon.... effects me now on ps5 😳 yeah definitely keep in doors. Caught me off guard and my argentavis nearly ran out of stam and was going slower then walking it felt like even while sprinting! Pretty awesome especially since heat waves no longer seem to effect me wth ascendant sand gear and 40 fortitude. The electric storms only trouble my cryos and chainsaw. They should also effect my windmills fridges and fabricators! That would be cool! Thought the heatwave was meant to do that... but since I don't use generators anymore I havnt experienced power loss😞 and I'm on day 30 with 35 deaths? I ain't THAT addicted lol

Track laying is a Pain in the @$#! we need more control when laying track.. the snap lines are very hard to control... Also Train is over encumbered easily for some reason.. have to use creative mode to get it to work..
I would kill for a train loop circle rail so trains dont have to drive backwards... I tested if youre able to make a perfect loop with a 2 way splitter but they made it non symetrical so that aint working... Also how tf do you use the connector, that thing does nothing but snap to the wrong places...
@yeetus076 I have a loop. You just need the two joining ends of track to be close enough and at similar height and angle and the connector will hook them up
@@etw4life970 Yeah but my god connectors are horrible to place and the circles are way to large... Or is there a way around doing a giant circle with a connector?
Please show us how you build the train track.
From what I've seen you simply build your two tracks. And once you need foundation supports you just put pillar attached to the tracks and stuck in the ground. Apologies if it's more complex then that

The thing that makes it not good is how expensive it is

"Automate" is being genereous.
Just use the split to make a loop at each end, and the train should just continue going back and forth without needing to reenter it to put it in reverse.
The main problem would be getting on and off, since it won't stop at the bumpers because it wouldn't have bumpers to stop it lol
