And triple doubles are currently at 3 league wide. I’m not taking anything away from Angel. I’m just pointing out that all statistics are not equally rare, nor do they equally showcase the impact on the game. Players own missed bucket rebound shots go into the rebound score, so a player shooting sloppy in the paint can rack up a rebound per shot. Again, not taking anything from Angel. She hassles and deserves all the praise she is getting . She is going to be a dominant player over the next decade.and I think it is important if you miss the basket, be there fighting to get the ball and put it in. But I don’t want anyone criticizing her when she no longer makes her double doubles in a game because, hopefully, she will eventually cleans up those shots. If we take away the rebounds she gets from her own bad shot from under the basket and re-tips the ball into the basket, her rebound stats drop more than half. They should know more about sports they are covering. CC will run the offense for years if not decades. The team will win or not based on her abilities. it takes longer to gel with your team when you are running the offense, passing, pushing the ball upcountry. AR gets a rebound and takes a layup. She is good at what she does, but she will not have half the impact personally on whether her team wins or not.

The team will win or not based on her abilities. it takes longer to gel with your team when you are running the offense, passing, pushing the ball upcountry. AR gets a rebound and takes a layup. She is good at what she does, but she will not have half the impact personally on whether her team wins or not.

In no world would anyone pick a weak double double over better stats, now a triple, that means 13 assists turn into 26 points, there's no comparing

If double doubles are so impactful , one has to wonder why WNBA COACHES DO NOTHING ( ie double cover) to prevent them. Coaches/ teams need to win games to keep their jobs. So one would think coaches would adjust their defense to maximize their chances to win.
