It is something that America could implement. As you can see, we have guns. I have rifles and shotguns. I hunt, I use them for sport. But we have almost no shootings because of the laws in place.
Its the culture of the people not the gun laws . We have a certain demographic that uses guns for crime and everyone else doesn't so we refuse to give up our rights because some people are criminals. In fact we Need guns to defend ourselves from the criminals who have guns and don't care about life. Until the government does something about the crime we refuse to give up anything. @@UlfOrGrimnir
Love this. 5:14 Bren 11:23 SMLE 11:31 Vickers can these fire full auto .303 ? Or have they been reworked to fire lesser rounds semi-auto ? I'm asking this because I was under the impression they were banned on Tony Blair's watch.
Interesting looking Dickson Boxlock in the Sealed Bid. I don't think you see many 3 inch chambered ones, 30 inch barrels too. Yes a restoration project with missing extractors, but nicely engraved and a four digit serial in the Dickson register to boot.
Are all these side by sides going to be scrap or just wall hangers once the lead ban becomes law. Or is it worth the expense to have them sleeved to shoot steel or is their another metal cartridge the can still shoot ?
Most are capable of taking steel with slight choke modifications, the others will live on with Bismuth or be exported to a country that values them and less shot more!
Varies - I've seen Uberti 1866's in .38 sell for around £700 via RFD's, but the one on here is estimated for sub £400. The Accuracy Internationals seem overpriced at an estimated £6k-8k, I'd expect more like £4-5k
I wonder if an American was on vacation in the U.K. and attended a Holts auction (or participated in one however that happens), and won a bid on a shotgun for $5000. how much would it eventually cost after commissions, VAT, import taxes and whatever else?
Auctioneers fees can be calculated using the “total price calculator” tool on the Holts website, VAT is at 20% and you don’t have to bid in person as you can phone yourself or place a bid on the holts website.
Anybody else cringing at how many times he's picking up firearms by the metal? I'm like 'dude do you have any idea how much salt your skin has?" Grab the wood bro!

Holt's is a national treasure, especially good for affordable BSA rifles.
TGS is going to cost me a fortune....another bucket list.
All jokes and politics aside, English gun culture just seems to be American gun culture from 100 years ago, just with a lot more legal restrictions.

Hello TGS, thank you John for the Holts tours.
Now those are all very special guns Johnny. But my goodness, that is a lot of guns in one place.

Loved hearing you talk about that Winchester. Feel vindicated for choosing a 6500 sporter as my first gun instead of going Turkish.
So enjoy the Holts video you do! TGS, as fantastic as always
I meet Simon last week, what a super friendly chap !
Yay more Simon content!!!

Another great video....sound quality isn't great though, really loud one minute and quiet the next 👍
The stock on that .410 is to die for
That AI is amazing. I want one. I saw one with the original case in Canada but 15K CAD was too much.
The sound levels are all over the place. You need to pot down the musical interludes.
Music to my ears 👌👌👌
The British have me sincere condolences.
When are you doing a video of you hunting with your Lee Speed??
Very informative and enjoyable video!
I've got my bids in for the main sale! If I get them all I'll be in trouble!😮
I feel the same every time, secretly hoping someone buys what I have to save me money!
Place is Mecca for gun lovers. I must get there some day
Room looks like a scaled down American gun department store!😂
Is the Accuracy International actually in 7mm Rem Mag? The listing states 7.62x51mm, makes a difference as I only have a slot for 7.62
Must be a re-barrel then 🤔
@@tgsoutdoors Ah, confused this with one of the black ones that are up for auction also - my bad!

Def some antique guns
I am watching this and thinking about a 12 gua 22 hornet or a 12 and a 222 rem they are as rare as hens teeth here in the eastern US
Is it really necessary to have the music 20 dB louder than the dialogue?
I am definitely on the wrong side of the "Pond" for this auction. 0~o Is there a link and procedure for international sales to the USA??
Yes Holt's will export to the US
@@ThePhil543 lovely, thank you ^~^
This is nice but you should come to America and experience some real firepower💪🏾🇺🇸
A baronette pistol wow
How do hammer prices compare against RFD prices, on average?

Do they sell ammo?
An Aladdin's Cave, open Sesame.
30% Markup....outrageous!
Didn't he say 25%? Plus VAT of course. The tax man always has to have his bit.
Find the same item elsewhere then...
OK how do they all end up there For auction
They have an handful of agents who scour the globe looking for the good stuff
R.I.P headphone users at 10:05
Exelent
Just too much old wooden stuff for my liking, still neat though
Struggling to find the online catalog could you put a link up?
The main auction finished a week ago, but it is on 3x a year
Too much piano forte
Please just move to the US. This video is so depressing.
Just show the perazzi section
Too many shotguns, not enough other firearms.
In the sealed bid it’s a 50/50 split
👍👍💯🇬🇧

When you have oily hands - it’s less of an issue!
You should try putting oil on your guns when you put them up.
@@david-1775 It's proven that even oil applied to firearms the salt in your skin will still eat the bluing off your firearm and rust it.

How the hell is this legal in the UK when these guns have been outlawed, I'm assuming all of these guns must have been deactivated.
Everything here is perfectly legal to own in the U.K.
Some require licences and some don’t
