The woven over side to the play mat is a beautiful attention to detail and quality that many companies wouldn’t even consider. It’s a strong buying point for me. Thanks for highlighting that feature.
Game toppers are awesome. I built my own from pine with built in cupholders with a 5.5" rail. I spent about 200 in materials plus 80 for the mat and the better part of 2 days to build it. The one downside is that mine does not break down (i stand it on its side behind the couch when not gaming).
I was fortunate enough to have a woodworking friend and a little extra money a few years back, and we built a table together, but I tell everyone who is looking for a game table to check these out. They're beautiful, portable, and really do step up the gaming night.
Sold! Been emailing with Burky and I think I am going to use one of these with my table build. Not really build anymore, but combining the topper with a motorized based to raise and lower it. Sometimes we wanna game standing up, especially when playing something like Heroclix or other games with big maps. Excited!
I have a game topper and it has been fantastic. The only thing I didn't like was the player shields. I felt like they didn't really do what they set out to do very effectively. The rest of it is top notch though! The premium playmats are almost worth getting even if you don't have a topper (provided you have a table big enough for them).
The only reason I didn’t back this was that with international shipping made it wayyyy too costly for me, so my FOMO is real right now, especially after seeing those cool dice towers and book holder...sooo cool. So cool.
@@TheBrothersMurph I'm in Vancouver Canada and I just received my Adler via courier yesterday, so yes, Burky is shipping internationally (at least to us Canuckles up here). It did take a while (around a month) to receive everything, but that's par for the course when shopping internationally for a big ticket item. Btw did I mention how stoked I am to have one??
Really well done, sir. I appreciate the level of detail of the topper and the accessories, plus the illustrations of the bells and whistles. And the extras of dice towers and screens? Superb!
Man... I am sold. I've been wanting one of the custom table for a couple years, but I notion of allocating $6k of my game money towards a table has never made sense to me. My worry was these table would look like the Wal-Mart version and that destroys the idea of having an awesome table in the first place. Dude, you won me over. It looks solid and classy. When I move into my next apartment, I'm getting this for my table. :D
Thanks for the awesome, thoughtful review! We have finished our fulfilling of over 1100 backers. People are loving them! I’m so glad you guys are enjoying it so much! For those that are interested, we are shipping now limited supply of Toppers right now. Orders go out in 2-3 days. Visit www.gametoppersllc.com to get yours now.
Great review, but there is a top. You just didn't order it. It's called Acrylic Cover and they still sell it on the game toppers page as a late pledge, if you're interested. It has two halves. If you're just using one side of the table, you just use one half of the cover. For the full board you can use both of them.
Wow, I’m sorry I didn’t watch this video earlier when I was as researching it last year. 😅 This is an excellent video!, covers everything you would want to know (I got the Watson). You guys keep surprising me with your content! Keep it up. Chris
I wish there was a 4 foot by 3 foot version. Half the Mycroft is the perfect size for me but i cant afford the Mycroft just to only use one half and a rail. They look amazing though!
The Adler is 4'x3' and I just received mine via courier yesterday..! If you're sill looking, you should contact Burky (www.gametoppersllc.com/) to see if he still has any left in stock, as they were a limited run production model. The Adler is truly amazing!
Mats are very limited though, so if you want a lot of selection, you likely won't have too many choices. I ended up with classic blue and the desert/adventure mat. Great products, all said and done..!
Sorry, just saw this! I would say yes they should be fine for a glass table. They're not very heavy and the non-slip should work just fine. I would email Burky to be sure, but I can't see why it wouldn't work

I wanted you guys to know I showed this video to my friend and he immediately purchased one with a bunch of accessories. Thanks for showcasing it!
Sorry we just saw this! That is so awesome!!

5 years later do you still use this at home or at the studio?

We've been rocking the gametopper at our house for months! Love it and totally worth it!

Do not quote me but I believe international will be a thing in the upcoming kickstarter

Here I am two years later and I’m buying one. Such a great showcase of the table.
I really hope that Burky finds somebody who wants to distribute these in Europe.
Don't quote me but I think he may have!
We are working on it now.

Doing research on game toppers and this is still the best video I’ve seen so clear and great examples. Thanks!
We’re so glad to hear it!

I got the Secret Cabal mat and I am really pleased with it.

I love that adventure map too!
Love all the accessories. Great product.
first time I saw your video, instant fan! and I love "I am Jackie Chan." great work
Thanks so much!! And Jackie Chan is the BEST!!!

By the way, 4'x3 (or 48"x36")' is the INSIDE dimensions... outer dimensions are 55"x43"
I gotta say, this was a really good review. It sold me on the topper. Thank you.
Thanks! We really appreciate it!
I swear I was watching an infomercial. I was freaking glued to the video and when it was over my wallet was in my hand.
Are they light enough for a glass table? Would also like something that's light and modern. Not a fan of the heavy wood look.

Can confirm that Burky is a magic man
Is this the “mycroft” model?
It is indeed!
Thanks!
I wish so bad they just put a good hinge on it and some fold out legs.. lol. It would be a REAL mobile game table.
Truth!
Where can I get this now??
I would try the company website www.gametoppersllc.com/
What’s the measurements of you’re under table ? I really really want the Mycroft but think im stuck gettin the Watson.
The table was basically the same size. 6'x4' Possibly a little smaller. But it doesn't need to be perfect. The non-slip rails work really well
Thank you for fast reply.
Appreciate that a ton.
@@supersyked1 No prob!
A whole year later, do you guys still use the topper? Did it still hold up?
It does, we still have it and film all our stuff on it. Held up great, no real wear or tear on it.
Im a bit late but are there some without the border?
Can you clarify what you mean by border?
@@TheBrothersMurph the black square around the mat
@@KingO.K that’s the rail of the table, so no I don’t believe there are any without the border. At least not with Game Toppers
@@TheBrothersMurph oh ok thanks👍
Do you have a link?
Here ya Go! I'll put this in the description too: www.gametoppersllc.com/
Okay. This is amazing. Amazing!
And hope shipping isn't an arm and a leg for Australia
Game Toppers are awesome
Green shelf begone!
Good Job on the Video.
