This song kinda sounds like it could be a tavern song where all the patrons sing the chorus together before a random person gets in the middle and sings about another of Arni Brokenbow's great heroics and they keep going until they run out of people who can make something up.
i liked this comment a year ago but after thinking about it i have to disagree slightly, the start of the song kind of makes it more of bard only performance with everyone joining in for the chorus. although it can be slightly modified to fit your idea

Its not viking metal. Viking themed symphonic metal sure, but viking metal stems from black metal and this is NOWHERE near as gritty and shrieking as viking metal. Still fucking amazing though
