hii! just wanted make it clear that I'll still be uploading videos on here!! not planning to go anywhere, Patreon will just get bonus videos / fun exclusives :-) also big thanks to everyone who's stuck around this long, y'all are the best!
Glad to see you back. I am a 72 year old retired art teacher. I will watch ALL of your free videos. I love to see young women thinking about all the possibilities for their lives. Keep going and I will watch ❤
Starting off slow and hibernating sounds better than the rush that is pushed in the new year. The glass pieces look so neat! It was nice to catch up :)
Hope you’re feeling better!! I always get sick, every winter season! Except for this year. I made some fermented honey garlic not thinking it would actually work - but it has been a game changer! So easy, but it takes a couple weeks to mature. Highly recommend!
Hi Lauren 🌸 First off-huge thanks for this catch-up video! I absolutely love hearing you just chat about life, and honestly, you could do this way more often. It’s always so nice to hear your thoughts and get a little behind-the-scenes look at what’s been going on. Also, massive congrats on launching your Patreon! I’m really excited to see what you do with it-could be super relevant for me as a ceramicist, too. So cool that you finally made it happen after all these years! One thing I’d love to see more of is your mood board process. If you ever feel like doing a tutorial or an inspo video on that, I’d be all over it! I was so impressed with how you shaped your life last year-especially prioritizing quality time and socializing. Watching your vlogs really made me reflect on that, because honestly, with my work, that’s something I’ve been neglecting. Also, I’d be super interested to hear more about your experience balancing your ceramics biz with your part time job. That’s a perspective I’d really love to hear about! Anywho - glad to hear you will be back to doing ceramics full time soon x Looking forward to whatever you share next! ✨ PS your glass pieces are absolutely gorg 🍬
ahh thank you so much for this thoughtful and helpful comment (and kind words about my Patreon / glass work)! 💗 lots to explore here and am so happy you're into hearing more about the moodboarding process and juggling work and ceramics - will definitely keep these in mind for a future video :-)
i literally shared a video recently about the same sentiment of hibernating at the start of the year! its been so nourishing for me to not jump right into making, so i'm glad i'm not the only one!
I’m so excited about your patreon, good for you…and good for us! I’ve worked with stained glass for a long time and have wanted to do fused glass for a while so I’m super excited for you and anything you get to share between pottery and glass. Ps happy new year,I’m so excited to see you back!
ooh they also offer a stained glass class that I’ve been thinking about!! that’s so fun you have glass experience, I thought fusing was quite fun and a good intro :-) thanks Mindy!! 💗
ooh that makes me feel a tiny bit better - normally all my family back there is enjoying mild temps while it’s freezing here in Calgary 😂 hope your year is off to a good start! 💗
it's so true! I really want to change the way I think about it's "value" on social media and love the work for what it is (and continue to share it if I'm called to) 💕
exciting! hmm mostly I'd say just go for it!! and have some things already posted once you launch so people have a reason to sign up right away - I can chat about my process of launching a bit more in a future vid too :-)
I discovered your channel recently and it’s been such a cozy and encouraging space to keep me company as I embark on my own ceramics journey 🤎 I’d definitely love to hear more about your recent conservation work and how you juggled that with your art. It’s really inspiring to me to know what creatives also do outside of their art and how they manage that while not letting the creative work fall by the wayside!
aw thank you so much! I'm so happy they've been keeping you company as your work on your own ceramics practice :-) I'll definitely chat a bit more about how I navigated working another job alongside my art last year (though ngl there was a bit of burnout / lapse in ceramics during that time!)
