The director Greta Gerwig and her writing partner Noah Baumback really knocked it out of the park with this movie. It couldve been a soulless advertisement but thankfully they let them make an actual story.
Ryan Gosling in some of the new interviews for the awards has suggested you look at Kingsley Ben-Adir in the dance battle because he is really good.
The comedy in this movie is impeccable.
I was there when Barbenheimer happened. Margot and Ryan are the faces of these dolls, you cannot tell me otherwise.
This movie is deep.
I saw Barbie with my mom and we both loved it Margot and Ryan were made for this movie.

I love that you both laughed at the barbie line "fascist? I don't control the railways or the flow of commerce!" one of my favorite lines in the film. so wonderfully literal. funny that barbie the doll can teach us so much about being human. Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie as the producer of this film really performed kind of a miracle in what they have done here. amazing! BARBIE was my favorite film from last year. it truly is making a gorgeous statement about humanity. I have liked and subscribed. thanks for posting.
I've seen this movie. This movie is too awesome. 🍿🎉
I still haven't seen the full movie, just highlights via reactions like yours, but damn it looks good.
It seems as if the film is really well thought out, and I love the random matrix references, like the heel vs and Birkenstock (red pill/blue pill) & Ruth essentially being the oracle.
I also think that the negative impression some people have given it is ridiculous.
The film seems to do a good job of, yes, empowering women and showcasing the plight of women throughout time up until today under patriarchal structures, but also showing the impact of patriarchy on men.
A bunch of these women hating dudes and incels should really watch this film to see just how f'd the world is for everyone, and not see it as a men v woman thing.
Not to mention the film also having decent racial and LGBTQ representation.
This movie is really good. You should watch the entire movie.
