I have watched barbie in a cinema and so many times through reactions and have always cried during America's speech. Even now haha. Loved your reaction, Ruben! I see a lot of progress in your editing and it looks well done :) Yes to Oppenheimer reaction (but i need to finally watch it on my own first haha)

Ken only has a great day if Barbie looks at him.
This is because he is literally created as an afterthought accesory. Not unlike the car or her clothes. To Barbie, he's not an integral part of her identity. Hes just there.
So unless the little girl playing with her has Ken (Gloria said she did not) her default factory setting just doesnt see him "that" way.
In contrast, Weird Barbie was obviously played with by someone who took off their clothers, and played at making dolls be together.
    Hence the "nude blob" line.

Yeah, ken is part of the scenery, Barbie is the main attraction. My daughter had her fair share of Barbies and very few Kens…this was an awesome movie and love the direction of the story telling, very deep.

Ken was always an accessory to Barbie, no house, no car. No one plays with Ken. In Barbieland it is kids controlling he dolls. He sang in the Mickey Mouse Club and in La La Land. Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendez have 2 daughters and he was raised by his mother and older sister which he says helped him learn to think like a woman and he is really big on Women's Rights. He just got the Kirk Douglas award at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. Steve Carell's speech was good and funny, but Greta Garwigs was really good. great reaction. so wonderful to watch a man watch this film and truly see the film. so many men watched this film and saw something negative about men. thus proving why patriarchy can be harmful to both women and men. just as an extreme matriachy can also be harmful to women and men. the film is speaking deep thoughts on humanity, while also being the funniest film I have seen in years. I love hearing how being a father to a daughter has helped you look at the world differently. that you see now the differences in our culture in how men and women are treated. it is disappointing to see so many men out there who seemingly cannot see the world through the eyes of someone else. or that they don't understand that some voices in our culture don't get heard as much as men's voices do. it is also disappointing to see so many men be so ungenerous where this film is concerned.
this summer the big blockbuster, for the first time ever, was BARBIE. wowie wow! I am a 56 year old gay man. so I understand how men think, and operate, and how they are treated in our culture, while also being an outsider among men, and traditional men's culture. and this is.a very interesting, and sometimes, frustrating place to be. but again-i think about the summer blockbusters for basically my entire adult life-so the last 40 years. every summer has brought us multiples of Spiderman man movies, batman movies, x-men movies, superman movies, Star Wars movies, pirates of the Caribbean movies, Harry Potter even-. and does anyone see any kind of pattern with all of these other movies? is there any common denominator they all share? hmm. so this summer we finally get a BARBIE movie, and a bunch of men lose their minds loudly about this. guys! guys! come on. be more honorable, and just more generous. aim higher guys. thank you for being a good guy here who gets it. I liked and subscribed. I look forward to more reactions! thanks for posting.

My dad said he didnt become a feminist or realize just how all of us get shaped by these stereotypes until he became a girl dad.
Appreciated your open mind watching this.

I too have a daughter and I value her opinions and want the best for her in life but know that this world even today can be very challenging for women.
