the new microphone set up isn't that great

I have to say, the Reiki Master does give an excellent massage. But I find that having a microphone directly on the barber can be very distracting for ASMR. His massage is very vigorous, which is excellent, but the microphone keeps getting bumped and jostled (which isn't his fault, really). I appreciate that you're trying different things, though! Always innovative and interesting. Anyway, happy holidays to everyone!

I wonder if it would help to have the mic on top of the hand instead of the wrist. I think he's bumping the mic when he is flexing his wrist downwards, so putting it on top of the hand, where it can't get squished between wrist and arm might help with that!

I must say the opposite. The mic sounds are the tingles for me translating RM's movements, techniques and flow. But also you may have a point. Moving the mic away from the surface contact area might bring a softer overall ASMR.

@@VladSWG It's not necessarily "softer" that is important. ASMR is about ambient, natural sounds, but continually bumping and jostling the microphone is jarring and unnatural sound.
