- The Spanish Destroyer Carbine was used by Spanish police and prison services, including the Guardia Civil from the mid-1930s until the late 1960s. It is essentially a scaled-down Model 1893 Mauser. time codes 0:00 intro 3:23 overview an disassembly 7:34 borescope 8:13 bolt removal 9:02 sign off .. Navy Vet 76 • 9mm Largo carbine. I f... . Thanks RUSTY the DESTROYER is a sweet one for sure THANKS for showing.
Rusty, what a great little carbine. I bet its a lot of fun to shoot. Good score on the sling! Its really nice to see the internals and who it works so thanks for showing us. All the best.
MidwesternFC Thank you Thanks for watching.
I love my destroyer carbine. Bought mine from a friend a few yeard ago. He had 5 mags and like 1000 rounds of ammo. I already had around 500 rounds of 9mm largo. Small army surplus shop a few towns over had about 1000 rounds of non corrosive ammo so I bought em out.
I also have 500 pieces of modern brass and the dies so I can eventually reload for it.
Hey Fatty good to hear from you ! I really need an extractor for that bolt .. if you see one let me know. THATS for watching !!
i have one, owned it for 15 + years. sweet little gun.
highboy ya some day i will get this one going. THANKS for watching and i subed ya too
Facinating video, ive been into surplus firesticks for about 25 years, when mosins where $68 in ShotgunNews and ibe never heard of this little carbine, great video!
christopher Thanks and i subed ya too
Would love to have one of those neat little carbines 👍🏻👍🏻
Aos 07:54 do vídeo, quando se esta filmando a alma do cano, nota-se uma espécie de falha no raiamento !
Luiz yes there is a small dent in the barrel there.. it might of been from a cleaning rod. THANKS for watching. I subed ya too.
Nice rifle ya have there n very easy to reload for 👍👍 ......
I like this one. So simple and clean.
Thanks for watching !!
That is a really cool rifle. I am not familiar with the 9mm largo cartridge. I would bet it feels like shooting a bb gun.
Ration ya little rifle has no kick.. well almost. Thanks for watching.
Surplus 9mm largo is berdan primed. It's difficult to reload..
Hey Navy i did not know that.. i will put that in the discerption. THANKS
How do you get the bolt out on these? Do you have to pull out the action screws?
Guess i shoulda kept watching 😂😂
Accester Thanks for watching check out minute 8:13 . Do you have a Destroyer carbine ? let know. THX RUSTY
That's pretty impressive that he found a bolt for it, they are very hard to find since the Spanish destroyed a lot of the bolts.
very few left and the extractors are all gone. THANKS for watching !
I''m in Australia and getting factory ammo is damn near impossible so working off a hunch I started using .38 Super comp cases for reloading, works ok and accuracy is still minute of pig at 100m.
Hey Keith on reloading ammo and the 9MM largo check out Navy Vet 76 he knows all about that reloading. Thanks for watching MY video. Here is Navy Vet 76 channel i subed ya too. ua-cam.com/video/n8y51rQGbHs/v-deo.htmlsi=WZpNT6y3HVhQGJGN
@@RUSTYSURPLUS Thanks mate, will check him out.
that is super neat, good find! every time i come across one it is missing the bolt
Robert ya the bolt .. i have two bolts but no extractors. Thanks for watching
RUSTY always wanted to see a Destroyer up close thanks and hope you find a extractor and i am sure you will.
Nice video, might want to take the bore scope and look at the inside of the rifle chamber to see if the split in the receiver is visible, magazine disassembly...compress the magazine spring and remove the follower, thanks for the video 😎👍🇺🇸
Thanks Skunk.. ya will do on that split in the receiver i had no idea.. some other comment said the save thing. i will look at that. THANKS
@@RUSTYSURPLUS I thought it might be for the barrel and receiver alignment myself, hard to believe the receiver could split, it takes a lot to do something like that and it pretty heavy made.. never hurts to check I guess, the only way it could would be if the barrel was plugged and the barrel would split before the receiver 🤔... Just my thoughts
@@SkunkWorksRifle Skunk it's always a good thing to be sure and safe ! THANKS
At 6:30 the receiver is split. Do not shoot this thing!!!
fpd you know i saw that but diden't think much of it.. i will check that out. THANKS. I subed ya too.
FDP thanks for that..i did take it apart and I think what you're seeing there are the barrel and receiver alignment lines and I looked at the feed ramp and inside the receiver and there are no cracks so I don't think this receiver is split I took it all apart and looked and it just doesn't look split to me.
Good video. Keep looking. It took quite some time to find a bolt.
Howdy Navy some one left a comment what do you think is this the same on your destroyer carbines ? " At 6:30 the receiver is split. Do not shoot this thing" Navy let me know thanks RUSTY
@@RUSTYSURPLUS I'll look. Is that split through?
I may have a receiver.
@@navyvet7665 I took it all apart and looked at it again and those lines you see there are the barrel and receiver alignment lines I looked at the feed ramp and inside the chamber and there are no cracks so I think that's just some kind of weird looking thing with the lines. where the barrel and receiver line up I also think that the barrel has been replaced I'm not sure but maybe but thanks man ! I do have that extra bolt and not sure how to take it totally apart.. that might be a good video to show how to do that. THX RUSTY
@@navyvet7665 Hi Navy ..those are barrel alinement lines. The feed ramp is fine and and the chamber is fine too. THANKS
