I didn't edit this on my main computer hence the long wait. Undertaker's return to the Deadman at face value wasn't wanted, but it was definitely something that was needed. What did you think of Undertaker's return?
Taker's return was very needed at the time because SD's main event scene was in trouble with Brock leaving, Big Show on hiatus and Angle was injured leaving Eddie and JBL as the only main eventers on SD around mid 2004
That was the best time to push Booker T as a main eventer by having him feud with Eiddie Guerrero . JBL should have simply been a dominant US Champion .
Eddie needed a heel to work with. Booker was a heel but he didn’t have much heat. JBL was a perfect foil for Eddie whereas Booker was kind of spinning his wheels and didn’t have momentum at that time.. plus he would have made Eddie look tiny
@@Hunkzilla Na Cena needed that title at the time, JBL was exactly the right person for WWE Champion for Cena to overthrow at Wrestlemania, he needed to go over a major heel like Batista did on the same card. I'm of the opinion that the Undertaker's return was a big positive and a huge get for SmackDown in 2004, as with Brock Lesnar leaving, and the draft taking most of their good talents, having Taker on TV provided the opportunity to create new storylines and build up some of their other talents on the roster as well as build up the Deadman character as a paranormal force.
He wasn't there long in 2004. After being buried at Survivor Series 2003, he was gone the first 3 months of 2004. He came back for WM. Then was gone again til Judgement Day in May. Wasn't back on a regular basis til July 2004.
Undertaker from 2004 to 2011 was the best wrestler, by far better than what we see from Kenny Omega and all today. taker was drawing decent matches out of Rene Dupree
