Thank you so much for featuring this bike and your passionate enthusiasm for our mighty 2 Strokes . They are a riders bike and you have to work for the results , this is where Man and machine truly become one . I am a 5 foot 8 lightweight adult rider with previous injuries , that sought out an ultra light bike for trail riding . I purchased a mint 03 Cr 85 rb , that with some suspension modification and tuning mods did the trick for endless ours of fun . The only downfall was the odd rediculously steep hill climbs , but was plenty fast enough for me and brought me much joy . That is what these bikes are all about 👍 Another great video my Man , love your enthusiasm 👍 From 🇦🇺
Back in 2003 I used to ride a Yamaha YZ85 2002 model and holy shit was that a lot of fun. Fond memories of that time, havent ridden a motocross since 2004 now, but now after 18 years I am ready to get back into the game.
A brilliant job done on this restoration, the parts and spec are impressive. I'm so glad that the son of the man who passed away didn't get to buy it back and I truly admire the fact that this is a tribute to a good friend, the man who did this is a really good man.
Exactly , I'm a smaller lightweight adult with a Cr 85 rb (big wheel) and have a blast tearing through the bush on it . Being older with a sever hip injury I suffer less riding this lightweight and plush dirtbike than what I do on a mountain bike , and it's quick enough to bring out the grin factor 😁 You just got to attack those gnarly hill climbs like a lunatic and keep it on song to make it , and when you do it's an achievement 👍
It really is beautiful. I got my first bike when I was 13, i asked and begged my mum every year but the answer was always NO too dangerous. One Christmas morning walking home from church she eventually said yes, but I had to save up and buy it myself. Best Christmas present ever.
I think honda made a big mistake when they stopped making the two stroke and I think that they may start making them again ken great presentation God bless you and your family
Amazing little CR 👍 just amazing. Imagine if you were just a little wiper snapper 11-12 years old 80 lbs and get that monster 💪 that’s two stroke heaven for sure . I can see some kid with a smile the size of the moon 🌝 👍 nice bike , no , super nice bike 👍👍
Get one , I have ! You cannot beat the fun factor of a lightweight 85 big wheel bike . You have to ride these things and they teach you to be a better 4 stroke rider , because you instinctively learn to Attack challenges with gusto 😁
I just did a labor of love too. I bought a basketcase of a 2005 KX85 for 70€. Looked really, really bad. Destroyed plastics, spray paint everywhere. Leaking forks, the chain looked more like a rope, probably because it sawed through the chain guide and bolts... Brakes front and rear were shot and soaked in brake fluid. Ect. As I tore it down i discovered, it had a fresh motor. I couldn't believe it. Did a full restauration, except painting the frame and rebuilding the engine. At first it scared the shit out me, how fast these little this really are. And I'm 6'4". Sold it to a 12 year old beginner. He and his dad couldn't be happier what they were getting or 2k. Fun little project, made good money and i learned a lot.
Awesome machine I have a 2001 cr 80cc and I would not take noting for it it is one bad ass cr 85cc you have great job as always hope you and your family had a wonderful Xmas and wish all of you a happy new years Mike Holden out of north Carolina said that
@@Bumpyfn250 What kind of drugs are you smoking? An RM85 doesn't put out 41hp 😂😂😂. A stock CR85R puts out like 24-25hp. What makes you think a RM85 puts out 250 power?
Stunning example. Haha we had one on consignment at Best Cycle Nashua 2008. I almost looped it. You get old, your "skills" and cg changes, you lean too far back and..... "King STOP RIDING the consignment bikes!!!"
I bought this same bike because Im 5' tall a 100 pounds and just got in 2 dirt riding about a year ago this is the bike I Really like and I've been trying to refurbish it just like this hopefully one day I can afford to do everything this man has done Where do I find half of these parts.
You can tell Ken grew up on 2 Strokes too and never lost the bug , got to love his enthusiasm. I got a mint 03 Cr 85 Rb in the shed , awesome fun bike to tear through the Victorian bush 👍 There is Nothing like that pinned 2 Stroke noise echoing arround you off the mountains . 🇦🇺
Yea , but if yours looked like this then you would not be enjoying it ! I would not buy this bike even if I had the money because I could not bring myself to getting it dirty , it's too dam mint 😁
Very nice bike but not too competitive in the mini bike world, it takes a lot to make them fast, don’t get me wrong I’d race it as a kid, but now kids want ktm an husky an Kawasaki, the kx112 is now going to be the bike a mini rider wants! I’d buy it an put it in my living room if I had the money
That's the problem with a bike built to this level , you would just want to admire it in your loungeroom and not want to take it out and get it dirty , because you know , you'd be out with the toothbrush cleaning for ours on end after it 😁
I have a 97 expert and weigh around 100 pounds things a certified rippa it'll rip the foundation out from your house. They are a dirt missile and a little torque monster
So the man bought a new bike, piece by piece except for the water pump and engine cases? He must have almost another entire bike sitting in crates lol. He could get some second hand engine cases and water pump and put the old bike back together and sell it back to his late friend's son.
That talk to text don't always come out right I was saying how much I love Honda his little friends two of them have Hondas just like this one and they are freaking awesome at that little wise he seems like it's a little stronger
Don't get me wrong I have always loved Honda if I was going to buy one and beyond it but I got to give passwords to do that 85 YZ for a small bike supposedly is the best fastest strongest out there just like he's doing barely hit the gas and you're riding a wheelie I don't care how big you are
1985 my dad bought me my first motorcycle a YZ80 he was 248 lb he got on it and terrified him I was only maybe 60 lb best year of my life thanks Dad
Lucky bastard
Me too exempt I was a little bigger at 70lbs
🤣👍.

Incredible attention to detail. A labor of love for the gentleman who built it. Ken your presentation is a great tribute to his work, well done !!
That thing is sharp!!!! Long live the two stroke!

Sweet , you better watch those little two strokes , seen many a grown man take an unexpected ambulance ride. 👍✌️
I'm 10 years old. That's the bike I ride now. Mine is souped up and I can't go nowhere without popping a Willie
No matter how big or tall you are 85s are are a blast to ride super easy to throw around and enough power to have fun

My son was like 115 lb I'm 220 he's got a YZ85 and that little bike is freaking mean it's stronger than experts you're supposedly riding there
Honda made the best 85 ever, the new 150r is still great but I cant wait to get my hands on a cr85

Dude the only thing better in this world than an 80 is a 60 or 65. Seeing those kids huck their 65s over the big doubles is so awesome.
I'll be there in a few minutes 🤫
Cr85 an xr650r two dream bikes from my childhood
The 150r is definitely a worthy replacement best bike on the market rn
For wheelie yes but have to admit suck to not have cr85's while they are making 2022 crf 150's

thy almighty mini red rocket
why would my cr85r go from normal compression to like really hard to kick but not locked up?
Could be a few things. The rings could be getting caught on the cylinder ports or the crank may be bad. Or something with the Kickstart
Bad crank
That things quicker than my DT200R
Whats the price?
Daaaam...that lill thing is bad ass..was talking bout getting my daughter one but not that one hahaa..
My dad got me mine and it had jet fuel in it he is like 250 and it almost dumped him in 5th and it did dump me in 5th
Need the wizard tune on my cr85 that sounds crisp
What year that bike is sick

You guys always do a great job of reading the work order but you never say how much it costs pull up the price in there and will sell some bikes
We sell them at auction so we don't know what the price is until they're sold we sell them on eBay

So what was the price on it??? Or was that some top secret price that only a jet mechanic, or whatever he said, could afford ?
HONDA dirt bike parts do cost money to keep up with and replace.
Oh my!!!!
