Throwing in my vote that the conversation was about sexual assault... It fits into the timeline of the recent movement for women to be vocal about it, plus we know Colton dated Aly Raisman and I wonder if her assault as a gymnast had had any affect on their physical relationship? If so, maybe his sensitivity toward her taught him a thing or two? I guess we shall see!

Idk, I got married at 22 and have no regrets, I knew within 2 weeks of meeting my now husband that we would be happy forever ❤❤. We've been married for 6.5 yrs and it has been wonderful. Looking forward to the rest 😊
Yes! I'm right there with you. Didn't get married until I was 32 and NO way I was ready at 23 to be married. I would have missed out on a lot of important personal growth that happened in my 20's if I had married that young. Enjoy your 20's, it's such a unique time as an adult where you can just do you and explore what matters to you. There is plenty of time to settle down in your 30's.

I’m so glad you’re back this week! I love watching Roses and Rose. I wasn’t a fan of Colton becoming the bachelor at first, but I must say, after watching your updates, I’m warming to him.
I bet Caelin had a #MeToo story, and Colton is so sensitive & has such a huge heart, I bet he had a very aggressive, or more, situation with a female in his past, maybe even one that physically attempted to have sex, so he made his decision, perhaps & opened up to her....
I think he relates it back to his ex (Aly Raisman) because she is an assault survivor.

I have a feeling Caelynn will have a me too story. Which I think it would be AMAZING to hear on this show! As a sexual assault survivor I think the show could be a great platform for women to tell their stories about their past trauma. Also Caelynn is absolutely beautiful and she feels like a Bachelorette in the making.
riley sunderland I feel the exact same way. I feel like part of Colton’s virginity is from being taking advantage of as well and that’s what connects them the most because they both have gone through it.
Brooklyn Walker it absolutely would not surprise me at all. Cause I will admit I’m 20 years old and I’m still a virgin and while some of it does have to do with religious reasons, a huge part of it is cause of my sexual assault. I was only 15 when I was assaulted so it definitely impacted my ability to form close relationships and intimacy throughout my later teen years. Didn’t do a lot of dating in high school cause of it and I also had an issue with people touching me even if it was a simple as a pat on the shoulder. Luckily I’ve taken a lot of steps within the past year to overcome that, but it would totally make sense to me if that was part of the reason why he’s still a virgin.

To those wondering, Tracy tweeted very offensive and aggressive fat shaming statements, generally just mean tweets about other women’s appearances, used the r-word, and tweeted about how everyone on her plane smelled like BO and curry - which is horrible.
They were made in 2010/2011 so do with that what you will, I believe she was still in her 20’s at the time.
I think a show like this will truly show her true colors. If she has changed I’m sure we’ll be able to tell by how she interacts with others. If not, a nasty heart like that will show through.
Just based on the information given on the contestants on abc.com, I really like Alex D. and Cassie! And for the record, I have loved Colton since we first met the contestants before Becca's season and I was stoked when I found out he was the bachelor. I think this will be a different season than we've seen before that will contain some really raw moments.

I love the bachelor. I always watch. This season, I wasnt gonna watch like many other bachelor fans, for obvious reasons. I give the producers and Lauren credit because they have been trying hard to get people on board with watching this season.
Not huge Colton fan but I’m definitely going to watch. I hated nick and I hated Arie I made through both of them. I think this season will definitely be better honestly. I think it will be worth watching. I’d say give it a chance.

I stopped watching the bachelor/bachelorette series years ago. Why? Because I was so sick and tired of watching the “easy, breezy, life is just rainbow gleaming bumbles & women tearing each other down whenever they can for any reason what so ever” show. NOW, as an individual who is in my early thirties, I would actually start to watch the show again maybe if it took a deeper, closer to reality, actual dive into real life and love and maybe things that aren’t as savory as Cinderella’s magic carriage. I applaud Colten for admitting he is NOT perfect. Listen to what your parents (hopefully) taught you, “never judge a book by it’s cover.” EVERYONE has their problems/issues in life. Some more serious than others, some sadly victims of what is actual real life. Some despite being victims of various things don’t let themselves stay victims, they soldier on looking into the future to how they can do better moving forward from a place of being a victim of something serious. but no human being is perfect. And we have all made mistakes in the past that we wish we could go back in time and correct. But the sum of one’s life experiences up the age one is, is what makes that person who they are in present day, for better or worse. It’s not that I’m a pessimist, but you can’t get away from the fact that life has its challenges!!! For everyone! To that point comes this next one, I would like to see women up to,hey, even 39 years old on the show! Women with life experience, depth, wisdom, emotional maturity for example. Believe it or not, a show with those kinds of people on it could also get great ratings and be very interesting without any “reality tv” scripts or set ups. And hey, don’t doubt at all that there are some damn sexy and seriously hot women out there beyond the age of thirty. I would like to see the show start picking people who have actually maybe had a few tough breaks in life handed to them that they didn’t see coming or ever imagined and this, making it harder for them to find true love at a time they thought it would appear sadly. Pick some REAL WOMEN, not just 21 year olds who came out high school last month and just became of the legal drinking age last week. I’m kinda sick of some of these early twenty something airheads who have no life experience and may not even be there to FIND LOVE. (Their there in hopes of salvaging their miserably failed attempts to kickstart a real & legit acting career, FYI: if you really have to stoop that low to start your acting career on the bachelor/bachelorette etc., that in itself says a lot, you’re probably JUST NOT A GOOD ACTRESS! thus your wanting to make the show so badly). These women need to stop. Think about life itself. And maybe consider life & the world does not revolve around them! Figure out what you’re really good at, and go for that career full gusto being super successful in whatever it is you have a REAL talent for. That is much more admirable. Now I’m not saying ALL twenty somethings are STILL air headed, naive little girls with their heads full of a vision of life that is literally “their” Cinderella story. To find a young women in her twenties with great intelligence, some real life experience and true depth is possible, just not probable. I think back to when I was in my twenties and think there are some really great things I accomplished that took real dedication, determination, self-motivation, confidence and a lot of discipline to achieve. But then there are things I remember, thoughts and assumptions about life I had that were not yet based on enough real life experience. All the sayings; “hindsight is 20/20”, “everything truly does happen for a reason, even if you hate what’s going on in that particular moment”, “...if I only knew then, what I know now”, “well at least you have good health” etc. As the years go by, you start to realize how true all of those little sayings are. Age, is not a crutch. Life Experience, is not a crutch. Not having EVERYONE in the world like you, is not a crutch. Not being looked at as being “perfectly aesthetically beautiful” by one standard of “beauty” in every way, is not a crutch. Being a victim of the bad deeds of others, is not a crutch. Enduring an unexpected tragedy that changes the direction of what you thought your life would be, is not a crutch. All of those things are in fact the exact opposite of a crutch, especially for women, they are STRENGTHS. And women shouldn’t be tearing each other down, but rather building each other up....whenever possible. Even in my criticisms of others, the point is, learn from criticism. Use it as a tool to make yourself better, listen to others who may know better. Be open to constructive criticism and avoid becoming those unsavory female stereo types. Instead listen & learn from not only the words of others, but their actions as well. And think to yourself, do I want that, to be me? And on that same note, everyone is prone to mistakes, the key is to learn from your own.

There was a time when 39+ year old women were cast in a reality show like the Bachelor. It was called ‘Who wants to marry my dad?’ I don’t think you would have liked it though. It was really a bunch of middle aged gold diggers. I think it only lasted a season or two.

originally i wasn’t sure about Colton being the bachelor (and it had nothing to do with his virginity). i used to find him annoying and a little babyish. but now i see he is ready for this and wants to find his OTP. i think he knows what he is looking for and will handle it much more maturely and thoughtfully than arie did. good luck Colton.
