Jewel Changi may look fancy but it’s also worth remembering that it caters to more than tourists - there are more expensive and fancy shops there but also more affordable shopping and dining options that cater to the daily routine of Singaporeans. That’s why it’s such a popular destination for both tourists and locals alike, since you can actually go there for a casual dinner and grab groceries. The same applies to Changi Airport in general even before Jewel opened - before Jewel existed, T3 used to be the main terminal where people would chill. I often like to say that Changi is one of the few airports in the world where locals would actually visit the airport even if they weren’t taking any flights.
Lol, you totally missed out on the basement levels where you can get up close to the vortex waterfall, a food court, a cinema, a supermarket and mid-price eateries. Also you could have checked in early via L1 Jewel. Maybe next time 👌
Great plan! Even before Jewel was built, Singaporeans were already going to Changi Airport for outings. T3 is the biggest terminal. T4 took over the building that was formally the budget airlines terminal. Please mask up in Bangkok due to the haze no matter how it appears to the eyes.
@@2Passports1Dream some may say 24 hours and it seem you covered less than 10 percent of things to do at the Airport. I do appreciate that you do strike a balance between showing what you actually experience vs trying to cover too many things just for contents sake….
Dylan's joke about the waterfall being rainfall and Adriana believing it just shows how much inclement weather they have encountered recently. That is definitely an airport that you appreciate a long layover at.
The best thing about Changi Airport however, is how seamless the intersections between other terminals, jewel and the MRT line itself is connected. On top of that, there are so many modes of payments to use from cash to card to digital scan and pay method. Lastly, I wanted to mention that you should have went down to the basement! There is so much food there and for a good cheap price. If I am not wrong, I heard Mcdonalds is finally open in Jewel. Also, I recommend "Potato Corner" and "Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory & Cow Cow Kitchen". As a Singapore who has never left the country, finding good food is what I love doing here. Hope you have a wonderful stay the next time you come here and stay safe on your travels!
Loved the Singapore airport and the Jewel! We flew through Singapore, there and back, going to Thailand from the USA. Stayed at the YotelAir too and it was worth it! Safe travels!
Gotta leave it to you two to show us some of the most awesome & quirky accommodations ❤ we totally love this vlog because you showed so many things one can do at the Changi Airport! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to experience this last year on our way to Phuket 😱 Everything was closed and it was was a bit dreary:( So, thank-you very much for posting this video guys…..it always feels great to be living vicariously through you two😊 We will experience it one of these days! Cannot wait to see your next video 😊
That Skytrain spotted at 9:42 that goes through Jewel is actually connecting Changi Airport terminal 3 to terminal 2, you can actually take a ride on it without checking into the terminal.
You guys are so fun! We watched this twice. First for ourselves, then we had to share with our kids. We have had the worst luck flying through or to Singapore, the jewel and attractions have always been closed.
Hehe no way! Thanks so much guys 😍❤️ Ah yeah, all the fun is in the attractions - fingers crossed you can pass through again and do some fun things! It’s the best airport we’ve ever been to! (Especially if you have kids)
Wow. Your video was so well-produced and gave us a glimpse into what it's like to live inside an airport terminal. It must have been such a fun and unique experience. Keep up the great content!
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. Well done! What a place!! I think when I return to Thailand later this year, a side trip to Singapore will be essential.
It always surprises me that people stay in the Yotel in Singapore Changi. Yotel's a "transit" hotel, which means that after six hours, the price of the room increases exponentially on an hourly basis. And, of course, those rooms are window-less, tiny, and confining. There's a wonderful Crowne Plaza full-line "check in at 15:00, out by 12:00" hotel in Terminal 3 that makes far more sense - especially considering that after six hours, their room price is competitive with Yotel (and the room is far larger and more comfortable!)
On top of that, Singapore doesn’t exactly struggle with reliability or price in terms of getting to the airport for check-in. One quick trip down EWL to Tanah Merah and change platforms and you’re right in the middle of T3. Getting a cheaper/better hotel a bit further from the airport would make more sense for value, but I guess staying in yotel is just for the experience
as a SG local. Welcome to SG! hope you had a great time! yea i too travel to the airport on my off days to just sit and have a coffee XD the misting i think besides being a spectacle helps to moist the air so that the surrounding plants get some water too? its purely a guess. but they do have an teams of gardeners to look after the plants!
Fave part was Dylan asking for the bill after cocktails…hahaha. Also, this video is a dream of mine. I’ve always wanted to just spend the day in Singapore’s airport. Thank you for sharing!! Peace and love.
Hope yall had lots of fun! But the biggest slides are in Terminal 3, make sure to try the slides and rock climbing walls in Terminal 3 next time you guys are back! Take care!
The train in the middle of the Jewel, brings you from airport terminal to another terminal, don’t need to pass the customs to have a look at Jewel waterfall. Transit guests at Changi will be able to take that train. Also try the Changi Airport swimming pool next time 😊
Leaving Singapore so soon. Cotton candy at the airport. Luggage looks great. Adrianna did not bounce off the bed. I think you went over your Singapore budget by at least 100%% I would go on all nets. Congrats you both went on a net. Chicken drumstick looked huge. Outstanding brief light show. I was so happy both of you choose to have a drink or 2. Thanks Adrianna for trying this cotton candy machine [ I must have watched that part 5 times ] that is the absolute last thing I ever thought I would see in an airport. Looks absolutely delicious. Absolutely loved your trip and specially the bloopers.

During wet weather, the water is indeed partly or completely from the rain! If the weather is extremely wet, they have several large tanks in the basement to store the excess water which will then be fed to the irrigation system that waters all the plants in the Shiseido Forest Valley.
