Sometimes I think about that we didn't trust the sub players too much until now. There is no players who play well at the pitch suddenly. Even top players need a time to set up their conditions. But the concern that we're gonna lose without main squad made us relying on main squad too much so they couldn't have enough time to get used to when they had to play suddenly. But now, a lot of playes of main squad can't play for a long time. so they had a chance to prove themselves at the same time. Fantastic, what a performance by the team, I think that was the best I've seen us play this season, we looked balanced and solid with a bunch of kids. Kinsky 8, Spence 8, Gray 8, Dragusin 7, Porro 7, Bissouma 7, Bergvall 9, Kulusevski 6, Johnson 5, Son 5, Solanke 8, Werner 6. For me a 10 should be given ONLY for an absolutely outstanding performance. Even a 9 should feel as a bit of a stretch. When I give a 7 I mean it is a good game, an 8 is really good. 6 means okay, 5 is a bit sluggish and 4 is poor. Bergvall MotM in competition with Solanke, Spence and Kinsky.
Can we all appreciate SOLANKE's workrate Can we all appreciate SPENCE's cover Can we all appreciate KINSKY's calmness Ange is the undoing of this team. His stubbornness has kept us where we are. It's never about the injuries, it's the HIGHLINE for God's sake! Did you see how balanced the team was without highline? If not for Ange's stubbornness, we would have comfortably been in top 4 by now. I hope Ange is no longer stubborn, I hope he can learn from his own mistakes, I hope he will not use a highline in next match. COYS
Thing is why not play a high line when we have the players for it? Agreed we shouldn't have been using it with forster as keeper and Dragusin at CB but now with Kinsky he is the ideal keeper to play a high line with. Any of Romero, Vdv or gray at CB with Kinsky behind can handle the high line, especially with Spence in one of the fullback positions with his covering speed like vdv
Its his stubbornness that has moulded the team to this point.. if it was up to the ignorant fans the team would have no identity and no one would know their role.. anybody with eyes could see the young players getting better every week and it put a spot light on the weaker players.. playing to squad weaknesses hides that
@@danielhackett1581 The fact remains that even when players were complete, we still struggled with highline. Even with weaker teams, we struggled. Against Newcastle, Brighton...our squad was complete. We had VDV, Romero... Yet we struggled. Let's not pretend that we don't realise that the woes started from the very beginng of the season when everyone was fit, it only worsened with the injuries. Let's not even start from last season where Newcastle did the double and wolves triumphed over us...and many more. We all know that we fielded an overall better team against Ipswich at WHL, what about Bournemouth...they are many. Highline has cost us so much. It's not about the team, it's about the tactics.
@@michaelgiles7515 If it has moulded the team to this point, I guess he should have simply continued in his stubbornness and played a highline against Liverpool last night. Then we'd see the result. Despite the injuries, this Spurs team is decent and can compete favourably at any level. We have good players. All we need is a low risk, rotational tactic, and that's where Ange's stubbornness has done no good. The EPL is already very demanding, and using a highline week in week out worsens the demand, making our players, especially our defenders prone to injuries. Imagine all our first team defenders, including Ben D out injured! Only Pedro Porro spared, and he is knackered.
The point is understandable, but I don't see as much consideration in reverse. Fans who appreciate this performance must concede that it is the result of the process. The very first step in building a project is to establish mentality and cohesive vision. We are getting close, and that is why ange is willing to tweak. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but we have to be fair to the gaffer and recognize that it produces results like we saw last night. I'm very confident that we will see a ln increasing variety in the tactics now that the philosophy has been established.
Suddenly, people realize we have such a strong, deep squad? lol! This was why we disliked Ange stubbornness in the beginning! We have the 4th most expensive squad in the entire Prem! We shouldn’t be using any excuse, we should rotate the squad
Why is it that when someone scores a goal, he is seen as the hero? Bergvall almost cost us our game, tackling recklessly. Did nothing much throughout the game. But slots in a goal that Solanke did majority of the work, and he is given such huge accolades? I personally think that Biss was more decent than him.
Spurs' fans should be in love with Solanke. He gives everything for the team. He should have never won that ball but did with his hustle and physicality. One win in ten, and suddenly we gonna win the league, even Ben who is usually the more sensible one is getting carried away, come on boys it's bad karma to celebrate at half time, knowing as Liverpool will be looking for revenge..
I still think Liverpool win comfortably
from a neutral standpoint …hotspurs should be counting your lucky stars for this victory …bergvull is still young & lacks discipline …he got away with murder on that 2nd challenge
It wasnt murder, no contact and the ref played Advantage.
@ there was clearly body contact & none with the ball whatsoever …those are the type of challenges that can end careers …if that’s not murder …@ least qualified for man-slaughter …dependent upon intent
Kinsky Neuer !!!
Only a 1-0 win against the greatest team in the world. Ange must be out of his depth.
Bergvall was great, but can't get a 10 for the red card he risked getting.
Agree with you Ben Dragusin is not suited to our system. Him and Johnson have been bad buys overall
Keeper can use both feet got a big future fingers crossed
Jeez, Ben. Get off the “Bergvall should have been sent off”, no he shouldn’t have and he wasn’t. Right call, benefits us. Stop wishing fit us to lose. Sim is the based opinions here. 😅
8 for Dom???? Are you sick in the head??
no onee pass the ball to sony
bissouma ain't an 8 mate
Funny things he's 10 for mali
Where is Dorrington? Why do we always import youngsters and neglect our own youngsters?
There not tired when there picking up that fat paycheck 😅😅😅😅stop crying for these guys die for the club Tottenham Tottenham all the way 😅😅😅😅
Kinsky 8, Spence 8, Gray 8, Dragusin 7, Porro 7, Bissouma 7, Bergvall 9, Kulusevski 6, Johnson 5, Son 5, Solanke 8, Werner 6.
Can we all appreciate SOLANKE's workrate
Can we all appreciate SPENCE's cover
Can we all appreciate KINSKY's calmness
Ange is the undoing of this team.
We shouldn’t be using any excuse, we should rotate the squad
porro is not a defender a midfielder is very good with crosses but he s poor on defence.
poor mans alexander arnold
Why is it that when someone scores a goal, he is seen as the hero? Bergvall almost cost us our game, tackling recklessly. Did nothing much throughout the game. But slots in a goal that Solanke did majority of the work, and he is given such huge accolades? I personally think that Biss was more decent than him.
Biss had a solid performance, but to sat bergvall did nothing much is fantasy
Time for son to go and win something, he won't be doing it for us
Yet Ben was hoping Spurs would lose !
Go figure
