I like your albums very much - and especially Inner Ponds as an album and composition is very inspiring, soothing and refleksive. I also like the tone of your bass playing and the variety of your sounds and timbres. Unique talented mastery in my opinion.
Have been enjoying Inner Ponds immensely. Although you haven't mentioned specific influences, this song has moments that remind me of some of the great Spanish guitarists. The whole album is great and this is a good example of just how great it is. Thanks, Damian.
Hello William, this bass was made by Fodera Guitars in nyc. It is a phenomenal instrument with a predominantly walnut body. If you are interested in hearing moe about it I wrote a little bit here: electrifiedbass.net/damian-coccio-6-string-fodera-emperor/
Good call on the social media unplug!!! I did the same. Will you still be uploading new videos on you tube? Sounds smooth as usual. New album is amazing.
Thank you James! Absolutely, I will absolutely keep doing uploads here. I believe this to be the least problematic of all of the social media like platforms. I've been writing alot of new songs the last few weeks since my unplugging. Regarding social media related topics, I have some information on my website for anyone interested: electrifiedbass.net/unplugged-from-social-media/
Just read your post on your site and couldn’t agree more. I found myself trying live like other people on Instagram and it affected everyone around me.
@@jamesconey8815 The whole architecture of those platforms isn't healthy, from the addictive design to the subtle behavior modification. It's affecting everyone using them. The only thing positive that came out of it was cool people connecting, but at what cost? If they change their business model from addictive ad based revenue to a paid subscription model I would be more interested. Jaron Lanier has some great videos on the subject and his books are eye opening. Take Care and thanks for sharing your thoughts!
What you have said here is an indisputable truth Damian. The sad part is the level of addiction and modification which has already taken place. It will take an act of God to bring some of the victims back to reality. I, too, am glad you have parted company with the mind muddling media. Do keep on posting your music here (until or unless YT falls into the same trap).
AriKona it’s hard to fathom just how big it’s become. All those minds engaged and directed by an algorithm. Scary on a global scale to have that kind of power in the hands of one company. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I’ve noticed you play 33” scale basses, does it make that much of a difference from standard for your style of playing? I’m trying to cover “La Mortella” by you on my six string bass, I can’t quite make all the stretches on it and it doesn’t sound quite right but that’s more to my playing not being where it needs to be. Do you have any tips?
Magmarok the shorter scale helps a bit. I try to practice exercises that allow me to stretch and maintain flexibility on my left hand. It would be challenging for me to play many of these songs on a 33” scale bass, not only due to the longer neck, but also the increased string tension.

Thank you very much, so glad to hear you are enjoying it! I love classical and Spanish guitar, it’s surely one of my favorite things to listen to.
He plays very much. This Song is wonderful.
One of my favorites. Sounds wonderful Damian. Hope all is well with you!
Thank you Eric, things are going very well, hope all is well with you!
Who made that beautiful bass Damian? Also, how much does it weigh? I've always preferred heavy, dense wood basses to tone and sustain.

Sounds awesome. I will be buying this album.
Thank you, I really appreciate it.
Damian Coccio no problem man you deserve it.
Always enjoy your playing! What is that pad you use on your leg?
Nick P it is made by a company called oasis, it helps put the instrument in a more natural playing position.
@@DamianCoccio very cool thanks
I love it! Also, I'm looking forward to some videos with the new semi-hollow Fodera!
Hi Blake, thanks! The semi hollow is awesome, it plays so easy, been working on a lot of new stuff with it. New vids coming soon. Take care.
Amazing! What's the signal chain you're using on this one?
Beautiful job
Thank you Eddy
Lindooooo ficaria o dia todo escutando parabéns damian...
Thank you very much.
This is definitely my favorite song on the new album. What looper do you use?
Thank you. I used the boomerang looper on this one. It’s very seamless with good quality audio.

Damian Coccio do you know of any non-custom 33” scale bass guitars?
Magmarok there aren’t many non custom 33 inch scales but Ibanez makes an inexpensive one, a used Fodera mgs if you want something high end.
Perfecto!!
Thank you!!
