This Hyundai KONA N, looks like a good "Jack of all trades," as you suggested starting the video; well thought out and practical in all respects. _(And it looks so much better with you posing next to it, Anna)._ *SOLD!!* 🌹🌹🌹
The gloves and leather jacket are back but Anna has matched her clothes to this car, red pants for the exterior trim and light blue for the interior bits, you've been doing this for years Anna 😉 As a long time subscriber I admit I came for the looks but stayed for the content, passion, knowledge and the accent doesn't hurt either...it's all good😎
Thank you for being so enthusiastic about this car. I have one and absolutely love its character/performance/handling although a lot of reviewers complain about its ride - doesn't bother me!
Absolutely brilliant review as always Anna. I do like the Kona but the N division has totally blown it out of the park, with the looks and it sound absolutely awesome. The interior looks very solid and great that put attention to details to make it look sporty inside with the alcantara seats with the N in it, great to see the shortcuts on the steering wheel for your driving mods. shame it doesn't have those sliders that you love Anna🤣😉. Shame about how they done the head up display, Kinda like my old Peugeot, looks bit of an after thought. I totally agree about automatics especially when you can flip it over to trip tronic/ flappy paddles, I remember my old Monaro it was a real nightmare in very slow moving traffic. The clutch was very heavy. I swear my left leg was bigger than my right🤣. Smart little gadget that you was promoting. Kinda make sense. Talk about Kona N having a spilt personality but it looks like the colour of you nails kept on changing to 1 colour to another and back again. Was it because you film in two different days or was it the way the cameras taken to the colours or was it the you got a two toned nail paint? On another note. You are totally right. We all are in it together with energy prices going through the roof All in all it the Kona N looks and sounds Brilliant and Hyundai are nailing it with there designs of there cars especially the N division. Like I said at the beginning, Absolutely brilliant review. Outstanding filming and editing. brilliant video. All the very best to you Anna. Take care. Apologies for the long comment.🙂
Hi Anna!! Funny that you make this video longer and not so short. The car was nice but I never get used to it when those who order the car choose black interior. Well, one thing you mentioned about fuel costs and then about the high electricity price also for electric cars. I live as you know in Norrbotten in Sweden and here the electricity is relatively cheap, in a regional news they mentioned a man who had an electric car of the brand Renault. He commuted every day between home and work, which was 200 km. It cost him less than 1 euro per day to charge the car at home, if he had lived in southern Sweden, prices would have been much higher.
A brilliant video Anna! one of the best that I've seen from this channel. The cinematic videography and editing cuts are excellent given these recordings are without additional film or support crew. I'll have to have a look at the Carly compatibility at some point, a useful little module. I love the dry humour with the boot, shifting large heavy objects in and out demonstrating using your small pouch (I'm not sure what it's called). Great comment on the paddle shifters, my car they are plastic 😉 but they do the job. A fire extinguisher in the glovebox is handy but my make it awkward to put winter gloves into. I have to agree that the physical buttons are way better than the sliders that some are moving to (VW group maybe?). Once again a perfect balance of information and entertainment. Great work Anna!
I need an electric AWD Kona N and I need it yesterday. Wish this came with SCC, rear A/C vents, wireless carplay, AWD. Those reflector LED headlights were a mistake...
Anna gorgeous as always. I do really like the i30N - but the Kona makes not really sense for me. No one comes to the idea "oh....lets lift a i30N a bit, so it gets a worse center of gravtiy"! And if the SUV thing counts it should have at least 4WD!
Anna! Keep up the good work wifey! Honestly I never thought I’d be excited about a Hyundai video but when it’s you review I can’t help it 😂 ps bring back the green dress ❤️
Hi Anna!! A week ago I enjoyed a splendid local car show in beautiful weather followed by tortellini for dinner--all in all a good, relaxing and highly enjoyable Sunday. Was hoping to cap it off with a new edition of Anna On Roads. Well, I had to wait a whole week for that last thing, but now I am slightly more content. An interesting road trip with you as always. Oh, and you rock the red pants!! 😉
Interesting review. I recently saw a an I30N in the flesh, and can honestly say I think the Kona is the better looker. I am currently looking for a daily self-charge hybrid, those waiting time you give are about right. A new car generally off the shelf is quoted at 3 months, more like 6 months if you spec a car to your requirements. Does madam have a preference when it comes to self-charge daily drivers?
@@AnnaOnRoads I must admit I had not considered Volvo. I will take a peek at their website and see what's on offer. Best Wishes and thank you for the reply.
@@AnnaOnRoads We like Lexus very much! Came very close to buying a RC300H a while ago. We were looking for a Funday / Sunday at the time. The 450 is far too big for our needs as a daily, but a very good car all the same. P.
The Kona N is an absolute little beast! When you failed to turn the launch control ON, I was wondering if you even glanced the owners manual 🤔 ? What I’ve personally noticed is that the western manufacturing companies couldn’t digest the fact about the brilliance of Korean companies especially in automobile engineering and the low costs!
Yes, she is a little beast. I am afraid I have glanced over the owner's manual. I have learnt the launch control was disabled by the manufacturer. I don't think it's fair to say western manufacturing companies couldn't digest the brilliance of Korean manufacturers. The point is, there is a place and space for all of them to compete - it's called a free market!
My 2021 Hyundai Kona was at Reliable Hyundai in Springfield Missouri for over 1 1/2 years. It only had 6500 miles on it and under full warranty. The dealership experience was horrible. The excuse, week after week, month after month, was that the couldn’t get approval from Hyundai Customer Care. Only after getting an attorney involved, did they finally take the car back. During that time, they didn’t give me a loaner vehicle. I spent over $16,000 for 1 1/2 years of rental car expenses. I was expecting full reimbursement, but they only reimbursed $4000. What a scam! I finally went down the street and bought a Toyota Camry. I learned a lesson. I hope you avoid what I experienced.
I wish Hyundai and other OEMs would give us the option of buying conventional instruments and center stack like in this Kona N in a dedicated electric car.
Interesting reviewer. But you only scratch the surface, I’d like to get your impression of this car driven at speed on a bumpy twisty road in the rain.

Fun review and I just bought one of these a week ago. A lot of fun but I'm taking it easy on her for the first 1000km or so. Hello from Canada :)
Anna, Nice time just the same on the launch.
Thanks for the frequent reviews you been sending lately. Good to see things getting back to normal.
