I work nights and I finish at 8am.. just as the birds start their activities hahaha. 3 budgies and 3 lovebirds in my bedroom.. it’s sooo noisy! Sometimes I have to set an alarm and let the budgies out and then wake up and let the love birds out. Definitely quieter when you let them out of their cage!

On your blog you said that you’re a night manager, I work nights too. When I get home at 8am my birds are so LOUD it’s like they’re playing a game of ‘LETS SEE HOW LOUD WE CAN BE SO TIKI CANT EVEN GET A SECOND OF SLEEP!’ - they’re literally shrieking in each other’s faces then I open my eyes from my bed and they all turn and stare at me. Little faces dotted around the room. It’s so cute how can I even be angry. I have a camper van and most of the time I sleep in there these days hahaha. Bird life. Great video Aaron you are the best I have to tell you because I have something in my brain where if I feel something it has to come out and you are the best 💙🦜
Sadly I do work nights, it is not very enjoyable as my sleeping and eating pattern is constantly all over the place... Lucky my birds are in there own room down the other end of the house, so I can't hear them that much but I put some relaxation music on in there room and they actually quiet down! You should try it!
I had a Sun Conure myslef, and though they are absolutely gorgeous, their volume potential is beyond belief. Thanks for the learning opportunity. Great video, thanks for posting!

Hello. Got me a green-cheek. Large ass primary cage in my main living area. Then I made smaller sleep cage / time out set up in a closet. So sometimes when he is getting loud for attention ( I do not respond to him then.) . But soon during a break I will grab him and put him in the closet sleep cage, cover him up, kill the lights and shut the door. About 10 to 15 minutes, I take him out. Give him some love and put him back in his main day cage. It works and he goes back to normal bird life. Not sure if that solitary confinement in the dark is the best way... But I works and saved our relationship! It's nice to cuz if I get up early, I shut his closet door while he is sleeping in cage. Then later in morning, I will take him out of sleep cage. Different ways to TRY lol to keep only the good baby bird sounds around

I want to get a bird, but my dad won't let me because he's afraid it'll be too loud. My mom owned a sun conure and it was insanely loud, so my dad thinks that all birds are like that now. Anybody know how I can convince my dad that cockatiels aren't really loud like conures?
@@rileybeauchamp4723 I know birds are loud, and will be loud no matter what species I get. But I know cockatiels are nowhere near as loud as sun conures. I just want to show him that they aren’t as loud as he’s thinking.
Hello nice video. My conure does this “barking” like sound constantly when I put her in the cage to eat but she stops when I leave the room. Then when shes done eating and realizes im gone she starts screaming for me to return and continues barking while eating until I leave again. Shes only quiet at night. What is this behavior! She wants me to leave then come back. Confusing 😅
I ignore my boyfriend’s parrot and then she quiets down but as soon as my boyfriend is home the noise won’t stop, she’s usually good but when she’s hormonal she’s even more crazy, sometimes we cover her up and let her nap, that usually calms her down, on the weekends my boyfriend spends extra time with her while I am busy doing chores.

It’s becoming a big problem and my parents are contemplating getting rid of him, I love him so much and don’t want him to leave, can someone please help me.
I live in townhouse and I want to get a sun conure. But these videos discourage me a little because I don't want to upset the neighbors and later if they want me to get rid of bird I won't do it! I don't know how to go about it What should I do? Please guide so I can take right decision. What would u do if u were in my place? Ps: the earlier owner of this house had 2 kids and neighbors seem fine with it. Do two kids make same amount of noise as one sun conure?
I wouldn’t get a Sun Conure if you live in a townhouse sadly. They are definitely way too loud and I’d imagine your neighbours would complain, you could try getting a Green Cheek Conure?
My green cheek conure is really loud. i’ve had her 4 weeks after her hatch date, fed her, loved her, spoiled her with love & attention. but she’s loud always, she’s an only bird also so maybe that could be why. Anyways i’ll have her out almost all day and she likes to hang out by the cage by the window and just screams, like screams for hours, i think wanting to play with the birds outside. She screams when i’m away also, but she will still scream like crazy when i’m around. Then once i put her away in her cage she screams cause she doesn’t want to be in the cage. i have so many toys for her to play with but doesn’t want anything to do with them. I’ve tried playing with her but for some reason whenever i grab her toys, she thinks i’m messing with her so she goes straight to the fingers & attacks. So she doesn’t like to play with human, she doesn’t like to play by herself, she screams by the window all day. Does this mean i might have to get another bird?
Great question Victoria! What I would recommend doing in that case is try shutting your curtain in the room and have a play stand which has toys for her to entertain herself with, my Conure absolutely loves bells and plastic GOOD quality toys! Try that for awhile but if this doesn’t work I would suggest visiting a couple breeders in your area and taking her with you to find a friend for her. I would try and get her a female companion over a male as they tend to become a tad more aggressive towards humans as they bond to the other bird. I’d love to know how you went though!
Ok my sun Conor will start squawking so loud in the morning even though she has lots of toys and we will give her her fresh fruits she won't stop and even when we are all put there she still does it and won't come on to our hands so I don't know what to do
Wow I think we have the same two birds Maverick my son I’ve had for about a year and a half is exactly the same. If I move my leg off the couch he knows I’m about to walk out these corks when I walk in he has an outside cage of the rooms I put him out there occasionally and I’ll squawk when he hears me before that was completely different but I did notice you clip. I did like that, got a harness on him but only lasted once he won’t go anywhere near it now The is with me quiet frustrates me when he’s standing right in front of me and squawking which is a pee because he is amazing little bird when he crawls in and cuddles and his pats,😊
I wish we could let my son's Cockatiel fly around the house...or sit on his head in the livingroom. But we have 2 cats and that would be a terrible idea. Our younger cat would try to eat her. He keeps her out of her cage in his bedroom and puts her back in her cage when he leaves the room. That's when she screams non stop. If she can't see him, she freaks out. My husband is an audio engineer and has VERY sensitive ears. Her screaming drives him crazy! Like nails on a chalkboard to him. He says we either find a way to make her stop screaming, or he wants her gone from the house. My son has had her for over 10 years now, so just dumping her off on someone else is NOT an option! That's like getting rid of your baby because it cries. I am at a loss though. I've tried hanging thick blankets over the door to my son's bedroom to dampen the screaming noises, but my husband's awesome ears can still hear her scream. She gets new toys, has fresh food and water...I dunno. She's been like this ever since my son got her. Crap. I dunno what to do.
Hello Amanda! This is just a suggestion but have you thought about getting her another female Cockatiel friend, so she has a feathery friend when your son isn’t around? I say female also because male Cockatiels tend to be much louder than females.
