I don’t buy things just because they’re vegan or sustainable. I buy it because I think it will look good. Luxury items (because of the price) encourage you to be more selective with the styles you want. So I think it contributes to slow fashion which is more sustainable than buying sustainable shoes that might be cheaper. Just because it’s labeled vegan or sustainable does not necessarily mean it’s better. Sometimes you will need to make sure that you wear it “x” number of times in order to be considered sustainable.
Thus I believe more that being selective and curating what you buy is way more sustainable than buying “sustainable” items that may just make an individual feel good but they still practice shopping a lot :)
