I ordered the Esther study book. Should I work through the week before watching the video or listening to the podcast?

Ms. Davis, may I ask your opinion? According to Esther at 4:11, "approaching the king" was a very dangerous thing to do. So how do you think, at 2:22, Esther was able to quickly inform the king of the plot to kill him? (I have an idea about this, but I'd like to know your idea.)

      what's your idea??

Thanks for kindly replying. I think that at 2:22 Esther was absolutely willing to risk her life by immediately interrupting Xerxes’ schedule to courageously tell him that the door guards Bigthan and Teresh (whom I suppose Xerxes had personally selected to protect him) were about to kill him. After that we would expect Xerxes to thank her. So I think the clue as to why Esther hesitated about seeing the king the second time, in chapter 4, is her phrase at verse 4:11 “I have NOT BEEN CALLED to come in unto the king these thirty days.” So even though she had risked her life to save his, Xerxes didn't thank her or even speak with her for "thirty days." After the thirty days (at 5:3) he nicely showed his sincere appreciation to Esther for saving his life. I think it took him thirty days because he had been focused on investigating if other people had also been involved in the attack by Bigthan and Teresh. And like many men, he could only focus on one thing at a time. How does that sound?
