What a wholesome, cheerful, roleplay isekai game! I can assume that it will not emotionally affect me by presenting a cute storyline, end up setting us on a rollercoaster of mental issues, and killing off the characters that you feel represent you!
Why do people keep talking about "killing characters off", the only character that dies is Mari, which we pretty much know about from the beginning. Spoiler ahead And maybe Basil and Sunny if you get the bad endings, but I don't consider that to be the same thing.

Bought this game because of this trailer. No years of waiting, no hype, just the UA-cam Algorithm and some impulse buying. This has to be one of the very few times where UA-cam has suggested something worthwhile.
It's been four years since this trailer came out, and now OMORI's four year anniversary is coming soon. How time flies. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and happy anniversary, OMORI
What a cute game, I sure hope it doesn’t traumatize me by letting me grow emotional attachments to the characters and ultimately killing them off haha, the creator wouldn’t do that
6 years it took to develop such an amazingly conceptualised game, the horror sequences were perfect, not too much or too less, the boss fights to new explorations of the lands with its secret filled paths. The routes of this game are also developed outstandingly with deep reason and meaning.
Everyone else: *has been waiting six years and is extremely excited* Me: *has just found out about this... and is also extremely excited* EDIT: Me: *has finished the game and is crying uncontrollably*
ManlyBadassHero, AlphaBetaGamer, NitroRad, maybe even the big boys like Jacksepticeye or Markiplier! Let's not kid ourselves here, the long wait time (although 100% necessary for a good product) unintentionally killed the hype train, exposure from these guys will give it the jump it needs/deserves!

Been over a year since I finished the game I still watch and listen to omori content to this day and am planning to make a whole playthrough a second time soon, also bought some of the merch, it's just such an incredible game and probably my favourite stroy thoughout all type of media
Im so happy that this game isnt like some other horror games that has jumpscares left and right with loud sounds.Fear of the unknown and suspense while uncovering wtf is really happening. Made me feel rollercoaster of emotions. Horror game but at the same time also sad. And on the outline, there is also something meaningful to be learnt as well :) And now depression time!
Yeah, I think there been lots of unique horror games over the years. Jumpscares aren't really too common anymore. Except for the games that are just in it for the money.
SPOILERS What I love most about the horror of this game (mainly toward the end) is the fact that it does an amazing job at simulating what I can only imagine Sunny's guilt and trauma to be after Mari's death, and what it's like to face that truth. Even though you know very well that something serious is happening, a good majority of the game is still made up of silly little adventures in the happy world that Sunny created to escape from his troubles. Since you spend so much time doing those quests in that part of the game, it almost doesn't feel real that Mari is dead and that everything has gone awry. Sure, people talk about it during the real world segments, but those are just words. Words can't do justice for a traumatic event like what actually happened. Even when I watched the four friends stand by the stump of the tree she was hanged on while discussing the incident, I could only think, "aw, that sucks." But when the climax began to approach, I can't tell you how incredibly terrified I felt when Mari's hanging corpse slowly appeared from the darkness at that one part. Normally, imagery like that doesn't scare me at all, but here it felt like I was seeing something that wasn't supposed to be seen. The fact that I was witnessing the true nature of such a memory chilled me to my core. And I *had* to tell myself not to look away, because that was the whole point of the game. Looking the truth in the face and accepting it. The second plot twist where it was revealed Sunny accidentally killed her and framed her suicide didn't get me as much, but it still made me feel awful, and it DRASTICALLY increased the feeling of tension between Sunny and Basil. I also liked that the ending left out his friends reactions to the truth, since I think it sends the message that you *need* to be brave when coming clean about the truth, even if you don't know what reactions you'll get. Not knowing is always the scariest part, but the game makes both Sunny and the player face it anyways.
Seeing how much you guys love this kind of horror, i hope all you check out silent hill 2 (the original from 2001), it's probably the peak of psychological horror
Just breath. It's just a game. The only thing that lights up a story truly is only your mind, take pride in that. You don't have to prepare: make unpreparedness your brilliant experience. Just dive, don't look back and don't regret. Life is a good think because we get to experience everything in so much different ways.

@@amos8977 psychologic horror is just what people call good horror
SPOILERS
What I love most about the horror of this game (mainly toward the end) is the fact that it does an amazing job at simulating what I can only imagine Sunny's guilt and trauma to be after Mari's death, and what it's like to face that truth.
Looking forward to it!!!
