As someone who is learning Korean i got all of the sentences that you said lol Listening is a really big part of learning a language! I always did listening more than actually studying grammar when I wanted to learn a language. I also did the same when I was learning English but I am suck at it now since i dont use it anymore
@@goddess-pf9tf i understand your pain, it's the same for me. I have a hard time making sense of anything that's not the main verb, everything else becomes a blurr due to the sentence order 😖 Korean is so different from English and other languages I know
@@goddess-pf9tf not really, im kinda giving up learning korean for a while and focus on other studies, I've got to sort things out that take up most of my time these days. 😭😭😭
@@goddess-pf9tf Honestly, just translating a simple sentence that I've read a thousand times can be difficult for me. And I've been studying for over a year. Don't feel too bad.
I'm learning korean too and at first my pronunciation was horrible.. but I realised I am pronouncing it way better after I started watching k-dramas and more korean TV shows, english isn't my first language too, so at first it was difficult for me to pronunce everything right.. but after watching lots of english videos my pronunciation really improved :) actually learning a language is all about motivation, the reason why you want to do that is everything, if you have a good reason to do something then you're doing it with passion and motivation. But if there's no reason or low motivation nothing can really work. So only watching other people pronouncing words can help you a lot to learn how it works most of the time :)
I noticed he was probably making the most common pronunciation mistake. He was using the English L sound, which involves the front of the tongue touching the back of the top row of teeth. In Korean, the L is much more "ambiguous" since it can also translate to an R. It involves the back of the tongue spreading out for both sides to touch the back of the top row of teeth. Since a lot of Americans don't know how to use their tongue/ make foreign sounds, this could be difficult, but that was just an observation. 😁
Going from English to Korean is hard beacuse from a Linguistic view point, the sounds in korean language use different areas of the mouth and different movements of the tongue than English language. You have to train yourself to change how you place your tongue when speaking. It always feels so unnatural at first but you get used to it with practice. 화이팅!!!
