If I am connecting multiple onViF cameras to NVR, does each camera need to be on a different port? I noticed in the video you had your camera set to 81. The default is usually 80.

Hello, Yes you can. For Hikvision PTZ new firmware version we need using the same method and for old firmware version (we can’t see the tab to creat a onvif account) onvif account is the same admin account. Thank you very much!!! Good luck!!!!
Is that still working?i have a brand new hikvision camera and i cannot connect to my dahua nvr,old hikvision cameras with old firmware were working without problems
Hi, first we need to create a onvif account on the Hikvision camera. And then add it to the NVR with the this onvif account. The new your ip camera maybe support encoding H.265, if old your Dahua NVR not support H.265, you need to change the encoding of the camera to H.264. Please check it again. Thank you so much!

I have 2 ColorVu cameras connected to my Hikvision NVR, how do I get to the cameras configurations? I want to adjust the color and Turn on and off the LED of the camera. My Laptop and Cameras are on different LANS (cameras on NVR LAN) so I can direct connect to it.
I'm so sorry for the late reply. First, you can enable Virtual Host on NVR into Configuration -> Network -> Advanced Setting -> Other. Next, you enter the item in Configuration -> System -> Camera Management and check the Connection column. You can click here to connect directly with Colorvu camera on PC. How do you eliminate false alarms when greyscale turns to colour during the day and colour turns back to greyscale in the evening? I've been trying to stop my NVR from triggering false alarms in Motion without success. The only way to stop it is to disable Motion. And rhat means I have no Motion enables on this expensive rubbish. Can you help,
Mick Carson If you use the IP camera normally, it cannot eliminate false alarms.
You can use the Acusence IP camera product line ex DS-2CD2T26G1-2I, DS-2CD2326G1-I,..., which can filter false alarms. It only detects people and vehicles. It will give you alarm exactly. Thank you!

Thanks. Is that a dome camera or bullet camera. What am I to do with this $400+ expensive dome camera now? Is there an acusense dome camera? Or are they all bullet cameras? Really, all camera from Hikvision should not trigger false alarm on change of ambient light, especially when these cameras cost an arm or leg. Right?
Mick Carson Yeah, Its price is quite expensive. It has both bullet types and dome.
If you use it, it only alerts people and vehicles, it will eliminate fake alarms. Normal cameras don't support eliminate fake alarms, it detects all. I'm sorry for the late reply and thank you!

Thanks for your help. I'm considering buying another brand. If false alarm cannot be eliminate, then this expensive Chinese junk is not worth it. The same with Hik-connect. It takes ages to send notifications, sometimes over a minute later, at other times I'd be lucky if I get notified within 10 minutes, by which time the crooks or intruders have already helped themselves and gone. A sad disappointment ☹
Hikvision camera doesn't show integration protocol
if not show Interration protocol, you can use onvif with user name “admin” and admin password of ipc. no need create onvif account

Yes, with username default is “admin” and activation password or default password is “adminXXXXXX” (XXXXXX is verification code) with DS-2CVxxxx model. And onvif port is http port (default is 80)
Does ONVIF mean you can add a non Hikvision 60fps camera to the NVR?
Mick Carson If camera support onvif protocol, you can add to Hikvision NVR. NVR will get the full frame rate of the camera. Thank you!
