How To Use A Patio Umbrella-Full Tutorial For Opening It

- In this video, I show you and tell you how to use a patio umbrella. I go over the specific instructions for opening the umbrella, and then show you how to close it as well, which is pretty much the opposite, The instructions are really straightforward, but I also show you how the umbrella actually raises up and opens up through the string mechanism and the handle that I am turning as I explain it. With that being said, most patio umbrellas will work in a similar manner, so you can probably use these instructions for the majority of them that you might have.

I looked everywhere for this type of vid. Then...😏 of course You Tube!!! You gave me all the direction I need!! Weird thing, tho....in my attempt to push the umbrella attached pole, I couldn't reach as far as I needed to get it all the way to the top. Soooo....what is this cord for?🤔....It's tied...maybe I need to untie it? Nope!!😢 So, now I need to reach up under the umbrella to re-tie it!🤔? Okay....now I need help. Found you and I can see where to tie it back. Still can't reach....even on a ladder... oh well....guess I need my grandson to help....jeeesh... thought I could DIY!!🤪
What do I do with the pin?
Thanks. I bought mine a few days ago, and wasn't sure if indeed the whole weight of the umbrella is supposed to be distributed through that one flimsy cord.

I am disappointed that you don’t show how to release the connection pole from the umbrella base pole in order to connect them together for the full length. The rest of the process is very straightforward.
