Like cripes, it would be tough but fair if they added some swing spots or a couple boosters with the jump ones, but no. No it's just pain

1:53 Yes, you're right. I did come for emerald 5, thinking I could save a few tries with strategy. Thank you for pointing it out though it will still take a Crash Bandicoot level of tries to get this one.
Edit: I got the emerald on my first try using this technique. You are the goat of the day sir.
Thanks, I was having trouble with the fifth and seventh Emerald and I used your tips to get them both.
I actually managed to complete emerald 5 without even knowing how I did it. From that point on, I could never replicate it.
Same here. Fluffed a grab when trying to stock up on rings and spotted it was flying right at me! Lucky fluke!

They made that 5th emerald input read like crazy. I got it on the last second after failing about 15 times.
Also, you can't get more than 1 emerald per stage, which means you only get to use Super Sonic (or whoever) in the 2 last stages.
The game also makes sure that you don't get to safely hoard your rings or just cheese a boss with Super Sonic.
Hardly worth the trouble. That goes for those other spinning stages, too. Those coins serve next to no purpose, you don't get to keep any rings obtained after the bonus stages, so there's no benefit. Wastes of time is what they are.
1. You need all the emeralds to truly complete the game.
2. Those special stages provide metals that allow you to buy stuff. So that all depends on if a person is interested or not.
Yeeeaaaah these special stages could have been thought out a lot better. At least with Sonic Mania there's a good balance of challenge but once you get to that fifth emerald here it just feels so cheap.

The way I got emerald 5 was hitting every 10 ring booster then descend to the left until I could lock on to it.
This worked for me as well.
I got every emerald in every sonic game but Superstars is wrong. Should be like origins and let you restart the stage and or enter again via any zone you like
I somehow did emerald 5 first tey but when grinding medals it became a pain

For the green emerald just go to the top and go backwards that allows you to get closer and lock on
It's pretty much just been trial and error. What is it with 5th Emerald Special Stages lately and being the most impossible one?!
I outright gave up because the reticule almost never shows up and I fall to my death. In the devs' infinite wisdom, you cannot immediately retry and must redo the whole level again. Props to those of you with the tenacity to continue on.

I don’t get it my version is a lot harder for the fourth chaos emerald it’s the last one I need and nothing I try works I keep running out of rings and the chaos emerald is always so far away what do I do? I’ve tried eight times I can’t do it and it’s for the casino stage. Can somebody help me out please?

The fact that i got all six emeralds without actually watching a vid until the 7th one
literally the SECOND the lock on reticle appeared on the emerald I was JUST ABOUT to hit A and the reticle changed to one of those stupid springs and I missed it 🤬🤬
I kept trying the last emerald but is was fail after fell I jus gave up on it
Guys;, when i get to the 5 th emarald stage, the ring got blue so it get me a level to get a coin. How can i get the ring in gold so i get the right level?
I *think* (but am not sure) you have to find another ring in the same level - that one's been used.
I’m convinced FromSoftware designed these levels 💀

Nope, sadly not.
Why y’all pressing about the fifth emerald at least when you lose only takes like 30 seconds to try again but the seventh Emerald dude it takes almost 2 minutes to try again if you lose

I have been stuck on 5 since the game released
I can't get the dog on things to lock on to anything.
It locks on to whatever is closest in front of you at any one time. If it's not locking on, you're not close enough :)
Where's that damn fifth Chaos Emerald?

Which level can I find the white emerald?
It is normally found in Cyber Station, But depending on where you found the other ones it is different
There is a ring in every zone so just research where it is in a Zone you haven't yet got the emerald for and go there and get it
Your idea of "close to" the fifth emerald doesn't look close at all. Using these tips but still can't get it. Any advice for someone who REALLY sucks?
Play it along the bottom of the stage like any other level, only hit the springs when you think you’re close!

I'm sorry to hear that :/ If it's number 5, use the lower nodes after getting plenty of rings for time. Otherwise, just practice as much as you can, I guess? Good luck!

Hold the left button while i was trying to get the 5th chaos emerald and i still couldn't get it, I wish their were honesty instead of false tips on how to get the 5th chaos emerald. And when i say honesty i mean how do you really get the 5th chaos emerald. That type of honesty.
I don't appreciate people saying I'm being dishonest, please mind your manners. That's how I got it, and you can literally see how I got it in the video. Like I said, get rings at the start for extra time, then go to the bottom where the nodes are, and use them to get close to it, as the springs fire you upwards, not towards it. Staying high is too slow.

@@CatGoneCrazy at least the rings are easy to find and you can redo the levels without them disappearing like in the old games. Otherwise I think this game would be considered merciless.

Yeah, I think the fact there are so many normal blue nodes at the bottom suggest that's where you should be heading to get the emerald, but getting time from the rings first via the springs is a good idea.
