It was not due to debt. It was due to a contract agreement which the Ogun State government counselled because the Chinese company failed to honour the terms of the contract. Please stop hating on your country because of its temporary challenges.
Contact agreement or debt, both involve money. If I say we need to be careful in our engagement with foreign nations and not to sign may be contract as you said that may be difficult to achieve or being in debt because there are grave consequences. NFF sacked a coach and took them to court, they paid dearly for it. I think it's you that pretend to love your country being involved in an embarrassment like that and will say nothing but accuse one of not loving his nations. Do you know that seizing the Presidential jet for may contract failure is like seizing the nation. Have you ever heard about any nation's Presidential jet that was seized.
@@aggreytams1369 It is illegal to sieze a presidential aircraft though. The Chinese company misled the court into believing that the aircrafts were commercial aircrafts owned by the Nigerian state. However, the Presidential aircrafts are moving embassies. They are sovereign and have immunity. They cannot be used to settle contractual disagreements with the Nigerian government.

Nigeria will eventually triumph in this matter. The Ogun State government terminated a contract in which the Chinese company failed to fulfill its own part of the deal. The Chinese company got an unjust judgement in the absence of Nigeria's legal representation at the court. This will not stand. The Chinese company is at fault here.
Why didn't ogun state government appeal the judgement.
My question is, Why did get to the point where our National Assets are now being seized by our business partners?
The situation is so dishonorable.
