You know what they say the second time is the charm... Or something like that?.......Mafex did a good job on the sculpt of the figure. Just as you stated in the review I feel the paint is the weakness to the figure. That is one creepy head sculpt of pennywise with all the teeth. I still prefer NECA but job well done on the figure. Thanks as always Spot.
I see what you mean about the paint . On the head if you didn't bring it right. Up to the camera I wouldn't even know they put . Any black paint under the eyes at all. It's like they just put a bunch of black dots . Under the eyes at a distance you can't really see the black at all.
Really impressed with the head sculpt on the neutral head. It’s pretty much dead on in terms of likeness- more so than the NECA figures. The only thing holding it back is the paint. I wish the brought out the eyes more with it. The break up on the printing tech for the eyes is more noticeable on this HD upload, and I wish they used more matte tones on the hair so it wasn’t so shiny. Love that neutral head sculpt though. They really nailed it, but ouch chihuahua is right regarding the price you got for it! 😄 Overall a great looking figure and I think that neutral head sculpt alone really makes it worth getting for anyone’s Pennywise collection-
I like all three head sculpts. However, my favorite is the one with the smiling expression. The paint application is pretty good, but not great. Pennywise has some nice articulation. Of course, it's unfortunate that the arms pop off as easily as they do. This a decent release. It's not worth $200 though. The NECA Pennywise figures cost a fraction of the price and they look better in just about every single aspect. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot. I really appreciate the continued hard work. Keep it up!
To be fair, the Midtown Comics stores sell these Mafex Pennywise figures for about the price you bought yours at (nearly $200), so it's not too different here in the U.S.
200 bucks?! Better off putting that cash towards a Hot Toys figure. These Mafex or SH figuarts figures are so poorly made which is a shame as the sculpts aren’t that bad.
Nice vid spot

A great review of a great action figure with cool accessories!
I think the neca pennywise is superior in terms of design, paint job, accessories, and pricing
