I have a 89 bayou makes a lot of noise on the top end. Valves are set properly and chain looks good. Any suggestions? Thanks

Can you describe the noise? Does it burn oil?

Tapping noise almost like a slight knock. Doesn’t burn oil

@@ITALCC13 This is going to sound crazy, but check your running voltage. If your voltage is too high it affects the timing advance calculation and it will ping / knock..

What year is the machine? Does it have anything else stamped on the cog?
