These type of videos are the golden nuggets of UA-cam. There are a bunch of similar videos describing the same stuff but Matt has managed to explain the topic from all perspectives. This video is by far the best describing the topic. For some reason, UA-cam doesn't promote it to viewers as much as other vids. I wish my comment would inspire you to make more videos on this topic. A huge thank you.
Fantastic explanation! I've been searching for an explanation that made sense and showed how User Journey Maps fit into the whole picture...and finally here it is. Thank you!
This is really cool! I've recently got my hands on a book called Story Mapping by Jeff Paton and I started to see the value in story mapping done right! Thanks for the video Matt!
Super content! If you have time, please upload more videos! I like your presenting style and a way how you explain things! It is powerful knowledge for someone like me; civil engineer who want to become a UX designer. Regards!
Really well explained, good also to see the software your using and how the project looks from a professional and digital perspective. Do you ever show multiple journies with different personas within one map? Just wonder how this would be done Matt?
I was just thinking this as well. I imagine you'd have to go through the User Stories in 3 or 4 different frames of mind eg. start off as a solo traveller, and then see if it works for family, group holiday etc.. and add User Stories (epics and sub-stories) as you went. In addition, you could get even more granular by using User Scenario's eg. 'Solo traveller, wanting to book a different return journey, with the option to cancel if their plans changed' or 'Solo traveller wanting to take ski's on a plane.' I can see how this Story Map would soon grow!
Checkout this one with an example of multiple personas. It has an example of Uber with driver and commuter as persona - ua-cam.com/video/GkuSxQflnaw/v-deo.html
Please, can you tell me, step by step, what`s going on, and what I have to do, before and after "user story mapping"? I`m trying to make UX disigner task list - from start and to the end. I want to understand the hierarchy of designer actions.
