I can't believe I managed to do it! I am happy about the very detailed steps. You paused and showed what needs to be done in every single move, even if it is a repetative sequence. There was no skipping of any step, there was no fast-forwarding. Amazing job. Thank you!
That's a REALLY cool rose!! And relatively easy too. I love how you include diagrams in your tutorials which teaches people how to read diagrams. Kudos!
JeremyShaferOrigami hey, you look like a knowledgeable dude, I desperately need help. At around 06:05 he folds the paper together in this circular manner, but he keeps all four creases at same level, if I push 2 ends to make the paper roll together, the other two ends bend upwards, which makes progress unobtainable. I really need to be able to make this rose, please be so kind and help me.
At two moments of this video I was sure I was going to fail (the twist and the roll up), but somehow given the instructions I was able to make a quite good loking rose which is surprising for me as I have no experience with origami. It took some time to complete all the steps but I think the result is worth the effort. Great tutorial!
Me watching this video: "Haha! I'll have no problem folding this rose. So easy! :D" Me actually folding it: "What?! I have no clue how to access the fourth dimension to fold the paper into it. *gives up* "
I'm making this for Mother's day today. I hope she likes it. I already made the rose, I just need to make the stem and pot now! I'll update the progress in a bit.
Great video, extremely clear instructions that even a novice like me could follow, thank you very much! :) I also combined it with the calyx and the pot and stem and I'm fairly pleased with the results. Well, I'm pleased with my fourth rose. :D I found shaping the flower at the end challenging, but the video by Mr Masahiro Ichikawa was very instructive in that respect. BTW, in case anyone is wondering about the paper, I used 120gsm paper and I think that something lighter would have been better, but with patience, it was doable. :)
Hey Jo this looks amazing, what's a good alternative to Lokta paper ? iIth Valentines day in less than a month amazon seems to be the only option if I want to receive the paper in time
I'm watching your each and every video from 2016......And I have a request now.....please make the stem(easy).....please please.....Valentine's Day is near.....
Among all the roses of your chanel, this one is my favourite. The only problem is that the stem is different to the rest, and I don't know how to do it.
Mhhhh, couldn't do it. Maybe my 50gsm washi paper is too fragile for a beginner to recreate this. When I tried to push it to the center after the initial folding my paper somewhat, ummm ... "crumbled" together. I'll try this one with another paper maybe or if I am more experienced. Anyway, great result on your side, as usual.
Thank you Jo for this tutorial. Does anybody know a way to make a thin stem (not the pot stem) for this type of origami rose that will stay put despite the hollow underneath of the rose?

Yeah jeremyshafer, the reason (no offence) I stopped watching you is because your instructions aren't clear enough. Please do diagrams in you videos?

First time I tried origami and it was a success! Glad I did two in parallel though, one was to learn/practice, the other one the final product.
I love your videos please love this comment I have never had a love on a comment
Done!
died at the rotation part, paper was too thick and rough.. nice one tho
Try with lower gsm paper
WOW! I accidentally did the first rotation thingy by accident when I gave up, then I made it all the way through the end! GOOD VIDEO
It takes a bit of practice! Just make sure you really refold all those mountain folds. It really helps.
It took me like 40 mins to make it, especially the rolling part was quite complicated for me...
Still happy to make it!🌸
Oh boy such a pretty rose! the rotation n forming the shape absolutely murdered me though
So beautiful!!
Inglês 200 horas thank you!

Lovely tutorial, Jo! Are you still considering a video on making a pentagon rose?
Really good job! But one question.. How do you make the stem you had in this video?
Very nice and beautiful rose. VERY easy to make. I reccommed using paper not thinner than 80 gsm.
Thank you so much! So easy to understand and such a beautiful rose in the result!!!
:D
so beautiful, and the tutorial really clear. thanks!
:D
Very nice very good 😘😘😘😘👍👍👍👍👍👍
You did not show how u made the rose stem stand and the paper vase. I was expecting to learn that too. Loved your rose btw 🌹
I did. The links are in the video description and in the pinned comment

Hi there, what type of paper (weight) do you recommend the most for these kinds of origami?
Wonderful compliments! Which flower pot can I use. It is different from the previous video.
Up at 1:40am making this for Valentine’s Day
when you pull out the petals at 11:28, how do you stop the corners from slipping out.
I just hacked it with tape
Hello from the future. I think he just pinch from bottom to hold corner in place.
Ted Miller
yeah. he was holding at the bottom while pulling out the petals
I'm really impressed . Really nice model. Thank you.
Thank you!
Thank you for an easy and great 🌹 origami tutorial 😍 Keep up the superb job !!!
I made it for my gf
Thank you for tutorial bro
;)
So beautiful it looks like it was cut.
that's so hard for people who don't do it so often like me, but i think with persistence i can do this.... and a LOT of paper....
When I make this the inside is always very squashed and compact whereas the layers in the rose in the video are all spread out. Any tips?
wow most beautiful rose on utube. i take my hat off to u. youre a legend.
I want to know how he made the stem for the rose 🌹
everybody gangsta til the origami diagram turns 3d
Is the same result with no Lokta paper?
Thank you so so much I love you
happy 1 mill subs congrats BROO!
Finally I did the twist first I used recycled paper but it isn't enough strong to make a perfect twist.
Thank you Jo for this tutorial. Does anybody know a way to make a thin stem (not the pot stem) for this type of origami rose that will stay put despite the hollow underneath of the rose?
There is another rose video in this channel check that out... He teaches how to make a stem and a leaf
Beautiful rose... 🌹🌹
Wow, you're a wizard!
I'ts also beautiful when make this model with white sided and green sided paper
