Interesting story...I was building a back deck on my ex's house and her neighbor, and older woman, would come over while I was working and chat with me.She found out that my favorite music was 60's Rock and casually mentioned one day that her husband, which she is currently married to,was Cass Elliot's first husband. That blew me away.We were later introduced and he told me a lot of interesting stories that just mesmerized me.He had been a struggling musician in the LA.area and Ca.when he was younger. He was married to her before she really made it big and before the Mama's & The Papa's.He and Jim Morrison had the same accountant and he used to run into him occasionally. He's very interesting.

Cass Elliot was a true legend! Her voice was amazing and very distinct. Her ability to harmonize during her days with the Mama's and the Papa's really showed her talent. I'm certainly glad that she found fulfillment as a solo artist in the last days of her career.
I often wonder how her daughter, Owen, whom she loved so dearly is doing. Cass Elliot is one of my favorite vocalists.
Don't worry about Beverly DeAngelo living in Cass’ former home. She actually did an episode with Kim Russo, who is a well-known medium, and talked about the fact that she's very comfortable living with Cass in Spirit. She must have loved that house, in particular, to return there in Spirit.
I remember watching a film of The Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, and Cass Elliot was seated front and center when a young, new, artist took the stage and sang before the crowd with her band for the first time. The artist was Janis Joplin, and Cass Elliot was quite impressed. You can see her mouth the words “Oh My God...”. It has always stuck with me as Janis is another one of my favorite artists. Both are gone too soon.
    Rest In Peace, Cass Elliot

I always had a warm feeling about her and I always got a bad feeling about John Phillips, both of which turned out pretty true. Very nice article about Cass in the New York Times, today, 5/9/24. Interviews with her daughter, who has written an upcoming biography about her mom, and a close friend, who explains where that ham sandwich business came from. Hi Scott, Hope you're well mate.
Great video, Cass Elliot is without question one of the best female singer's to ever grab a mic. Dream a little dream of me is a true classic her voice is unreal on this song.
So sad the way she passed.
She passed in the same Room as Legendary Who drummer Keith Moon. The Mamas and the Papas were amazing. And Michelle Phillips was Beautiful. I always imagined Michelle to be with a man like my Namesake! JIM MORRISON. Stay safe Scott My Friend ✌ Liverpool UK 👌👍

She was such a great talent and from what I've heard she was a great person. It is so sad how all the rumors circulated about how she died. I hope her daughter is well and Cass is resting in power.

Thank You Scott! Cass Elliot was a bigger woman YES for back in the day, But her talents were enormous, she was a Beautiful soul, and her voice so unique. So So Sad we lost her so young. Robbed us of that voice. Loved The Mama and the Papas everyone of them had their own demons as well. R.I.P. Cass Elliot🙏

Cass Elliot was such an amazing person and Entertainer!!! The Mama's and The Papa's were holding her back from a solo career. It is so sad that at the start of a journey into what would have been a very lucrative career as a solo artist that was cut short far to soon.
I miss her to this day.

The first time I heard her daughter Owen speaking in an interview I could tell by the resonance in her speaking voice that she had to be a singer as well so at least part of Cass lives on!

This was wonderful Scott! I've always loved that era of music. It was slightly before my glory years when turning in to a teenager in 1971 but the music carried over into those years and so did the beatniks and hippies. AND!!! I LOVED ALL OF IT!!! Peter, Paul and Mary and the Mama's and the Papas were definitely two of my favorites. It was really a sad day when Cass died. It was like the beginning of the end of an Era. Such a great time to grow up. If I could only go back! Wait! I think I just did!! Peace and love to you Scott and RIP to Cass Elliot. ☮💘

What a Legend! What a voice! They don't make em like her anymore. Her music will live on for eternity. I saw the interview with her daughter. She said her Mom wouldn't tell her who her Dad was. One of the other Band members told her years later and she went and met him and said he was a complete disappointment and she never saw him again. She said Cass's producer made up the ham sandwich because he didn't want people to think ill of Cass because of her known drug use. It wasn't drugs that ultimately killed her but it contributed. Drugs some prescribed for weight loss, some illegal and yo yo dieting for many many years that put a severe strain on her heart and other organs and ultimately caused her heart attack and death. May she Rest in Eternal Peace!

Dan should have gotten a kick out of living there, being a " ghost buster." 👻 Thank you very much for going to her grave, it has a very peaceful setting. Thank you very much for a very informative video 📹. Have a great day.

You always do such a good job telling us more about the artist and setting the record straight. I loved her voice and her songs, I was a teenager at the time of her death & I heard lots of misinformation. Thanks Scott
