- As former President Donald Trump’s false claims about Vice President’s Kamala Harris’s racial identity casts a cloud over his campaign, he posted a photo on social media thanking Harris for “the nice photos” she sent him years ago, noting her Indian heritage. What are you talking about? She’s in her 50s. She grew up during a time where you didn’t actually get to have more than one identity as long as you had any ounce of African ancestry. So many mixed people just accepted that.

33.8 million people, or 10.2% of the population of the US population are multiracial. Meaning they have 2 or more heritages. My family has 4 mixed racial couples. I'm proud to have a multiracial lineage. We are sure to celebrate each culture to enrich the lives each member. Mixed race children is an ever growing population. America is a melting pot. I'm french, american indian and black. I claim them all because I taught to celebrate each part of me. The US Census didn't allow people to include themselves in more than one racial category until 2000. Before that multiracial people were only allowed to be in one category. You know what they told me? Let me tell you anyway they said because I was so dark I was black this was the 60s. America is getting better but we are not there yet. I'm was a republican now I'm an independent. This identity stuff needs to stop. I'm a multiracial American and I claim each of my heritages. Keep it up and loose over 33 million voters.
Thank you. I worked on the census in 2010. I enjoyed every minute of it. One of my favorite questions was asking people to talk about their culture and heritage (my words). I had ditched the list we were given, 'cuz I thought it was unecessary. I loved writing down all the ethnicities/races/heritages/countries people told me. It was an amazing experience, hearing and then recording the fabric of the multi-patterned quilt that is America.

The argument about VP Harris' racial makeup and identity is out of control. Her father says he's black, there is a long article he wrote in one of the Jamaican publications about his grandparents and the black women in his family. Here's a shocker, there was a slave trade in Jamaica and 90% of the population is Black. Another shocker, all Black people don't have the same type of features.

First off the question Trump was asked was about race. So if the question was about race it’s a safe bet the answer is going to be about race. If you notice this reporter kept saying Trumps false claim. But I have found three videos so far right here on UA-cam where Kamala acknowledged or stated her Indian heritage without mentioning being black. That’s actually what I’m doing right now. On UA-cam put in Kamala Harris says she is Indian. And the videos will come up. I’ve seen one of her on a cooking show. One with her speaking. And the other her being interviewed by a news reporter. 2 to 3 videos, they mention Kamala Harris‘s Indian background to which she agreed and went no further. She didn’t talk about the black heritage only the Indian. And on the other ones, she stated the Indian heritage without stating the black. You will also see a lot of other videos where she does talk about being black. One in particular wish she was talking about her childhood and her mom, knowing she was raising two black girls. So I haven’t found anything that says Kamala Harris has ever announced being black. But I have found enough stuff where you could see someone. Having Trump‘s view. When she was in the Senate, and when she was running the first time, there were times where she talked about her Indian heritage stitch, mentioning her black heritage. And that would be in line with what Trump said. So for this news reporter to start his report, saying Trump’s false claims is not reporting at all. If I could find evidence to support what Trump was saying in three minutes on UA-cam, I’m sure they’re news station with multiple employees would’ve found the same thing I saw at eight to look. Fake news.
