What about the two adjustments right above the plate you removed. I know one is for idle set but don't know which one or what the other does. Also what is proper procedure setting idle? Is there a sequence between the stop on the quadrant and the set screw on the pump? Mine was actually turned up a little to much for me so I cranked it down a little to save on fuel and now it idles to low
1/3 of a turn is about 20hp give or take. After 2.5-3 rounds you actually start pulling fuel out of it because the rack isn’t able to get open all the way.
Every single guy wishes deere still made legends like this..hell even my compact 1050 deere responds to turning the fuel up extremely well, and its notoriously way underrated almost all dyno at 44-46hp and deeres infinite knowledge rated them at 37hp lol no idea if the old 1/4 turn equals the old 15hp standard of the fullsized deere (so being a 3 cylinder say 7hp) but we sure do need guys to test this on video. All the old knowledge learned from hard experience CANNOT be lost to time, so we appreciate you making the video

How much is field safe? Tryna turn our 86 and 84 up
@cs-gj3yf on my P pumped 4840 I was told ¼ turn is close to 15 horse. Don't go more than 2 turns.
How far do you twist the pump to adjust timing? Is there any marks?
No marks. Scribe a line on the pump and housing and move about 3/16

I’m a little confused what way did you turn the screw
In for more power. Turn screw to the right
Loosen or tighten the screw to get more power?
Tighten
How do you do this to a John Deere 2750? Same setup?
i would like to know this also, on the smaller rotary pumps
How much hotter does the motor run after you've turned the fuel up that much
It stays pretty cool as long as you keep the radiator good and clean
What's the danger turning up the hp? I was told if I turned up my 4440 one full turn, don't work it hard. What's the point then?
I’d say 6 turns is to much for field, 2-3 is reasonable
Did you turn it in for more fuel or out?
In is more out is less
@@jaredgilbertfarms2067 planning on turning up my 8440 one of these days.

Yaa , we can use same method use in India ,
Is that a 9.5mm or 10mm pump?
9.5 I believe
why is it loping? timing?
Rsv governor's could use adjusted I think
Don’t turn that screw all the way in I found that out the hard way. It’ll kick up to about 4000 RPM and run away
Ouch
3640?
I'm not sure about those
